Mission Mermaiden - Hasumi and the Deep Sea Sisters

Mission Mermaiden - Hasumi and the Deep Sea Sisters may be one heck of a big mouthful as far as titles go, but this is a XXX game that I had a great time with. If you want a lewd game and are kind of sick of visual novel-style games, then you are just the person that this action platformer is aimed at. It is a very well made game and the kind that I feel we need way more of in the lewd community if I am being honest with you guys.

Find The Aliens, Destroy The Threat

One of the things that made me smile about the game was the fact that it has a sci-fi setting to it all. The main character is a badass heroine who has been tasked with traveling to a distant planet to see if the rumors of this alien threat are true.

The story of Mission Mermaiden - Hasumi and the Deep Sea Sisters is far better than you would think and while a game like this, you can just skip all the story if you want. I do have to give the folks behind this game a pat on the back and they did try and make an engaging story and I actually do think that they succeeded.

The 32-Bit Age

I was very impressed with the visuals of Mission Mermaiden - Hasumi and the Deep Sea Sisters. The game reminds me of something that we would have seen back on the original PlayStation or Sega Saturn, perhaps even the Game Boy Advance? It has clean and smooth 2D visuals that have a real comic book vibe about them. There is a nice selection of evil-looking monsters that want to have their way with you and the backgrounds and sex scenes are done very well too.

The only thing I have to say that took me out of the game was the animations of our main character. They felt a bit on the stiff side and while they were not flat out “bad” or anything like that the way she moves did feel a bit janky.

Getting Your Debuffs On

The gameplay of Mission Mermaiden - Hasumi and the Deep Sea Sisters is very interesting and something that I really did enjoy. The game is an action platformer with a heavy emphasis on combat. From the screenshots, you may think that it is going to be a MetroidVania game, but it is a more straightforward kind of thing than that. She controls well enough and there is a lot of fun to be had. The enemies, apart from the bosses are all one-hit kills so the game is rather easy.

By far the most interesting aspect of the game is the way that the enemies can cause debuffs on our sexy hero. This makes her hero likely to get banged by some of the creatures and these debuffs can be stacked to make things more challenging or cause a different outcome. It is the kind of thing that is hard to explain in words, but it is something that I thought was pretty cool.

• There are multiple difficulty levels
• The game is very well made

• The controls can be a tad awkward at times
• The animation is sometimes a bit janky
