Border Conqueror

I have to say that Border Conqueror could very well be one of the deepest lewd visual novels that I have played! I actually think that they are doing themselves a disservice by just saying that this is a lewd visual novel as it has some tactical and strategic elements at play as well. I would say that is more of an adventure game, to be honest with you. 2023 has seen some very impressive lewd games, but I have a really good feeling about this one in that it could be one of the biggest lewd games of the year for some people.

You Are The Commander, The Captain!

What we have with the story that Border Conqueror is trying to tell is a kind of fantasy war thing. This world has been split into regions for a long time now and we are playing as the Commander, Captain Fetorem. We are tasked by the empress herself in keeping things as they should be! This means attacking those who oppose us or try to rise up to stop us and defend from any bandits! I think that there is a cool premise here, but I do worry that it is going to end up being a bit too “wordy” when it comes to explaining this world.

More Than Just Words

While you do have the standard visual novel style gameplay in Border Conqueror where you talk with people. There is so much more to this game. We will have to attack in order to take our territory back and we will also have to defend when we are being attacked. There is a morale system at play that we have to try our best to keep up (no second guessing for how you keep morale up in a lewd game like this!) as that is how battles are going to be ultimately decided. There is a fair bit of strategy here so it may take a while to get to grips with what you need to do.

Even The Ladies Need More Than Sweet Whispers In Their Ears!

Border Conqueror also has a very interesting way of getting the women of this world on your side. You do get to chat with them, but the ladies have different stats that you need to keep a close eye on. Each girl has a preference, dislike, and fetish that you have to work with. The idea is that there are a number of women that could be a spy and you are basically going to make it so you know who it is and get laid in the process of course. I like how there is far more depth to courting the ladies in this game than you usually get in a lewd visual novel. There are different endings that you can get here so it also has a lot of replay value too.

The Sexual Power Of War

Hey, we must make these potential spies reveal themselves and there is no better way than with a nice hard banging! The presentation of Border Conqueror is great, I love the art style that they have here, it kind of has a lewd budget Studio Ghibli type thing going on that I got a kick out of. The sex scenes that I have seen so far look great, but the screen is a tad cluttered with the various icons and stats you have to keep an eye on, however, there is a CG gallery so you can check them out later if you wish.

Pros:

• I liked the whole trying to find a spy thing
• The fantasy war setting is pretty cool
• This game has some great art!
• The gameplay is way deeper and more complex than a standard lewd visual novel

Cons:

• The story is trying a bit hard to be too epic and big
• Those looking for a more basic lewd visual novel may struggle to get into this
