Dog Days of Summer

I am not ashamed to admit that Dog Days of Summer initially drew me in with its incredibly sexy character renders. However, this is a lewd visual novel game where I feel like the developer was trying to have a real story with real characters and real connections. Do not get me wrong, the lewd content in this game is awesome, but it is so much more than that. If you are on the hunt for a lewd visual novel that has more than just great sex scenes, this is a game you simply have to dedicate some time to.

The Growing Of Something Special

On the surface, the story that Dog Days of Summer is telling may make you think that you have seen it all before and I can understand that. The basics are that our main character is a woman called Vivian and this is the last summer before she graduates from college. She ends up meeting a very amazing woman and the story of the game is basically about how their relationship develops.

Character Driven

I will say that the writing in Dog Days of Summer is not perfect and it can perhaps go on for a paragraph or two longer than necessary. However, the way that the relationships grow in this game is something that is done very well. I love it when a lewd visual novel goes that extra mile with character development as it helps get you more invested with the story. Even with the grammar and spelling errors, I think that it is easy to get fully invested in what is happening here. You get to make various choices as the game progresses and since the characters are so well written, I found myself putting a lot of thought into the choices that I was making.

Making You Take Notice

As I said at the start of this Dog Days of Summer, it was the visuals that drew me to the game initially. This has a more realistic kind of vibe going on with the presentation. The characters have amazing bodies and all look great, plus there is a nice amount of XXX content here for you. While the sex scenes are great and very hot, I think the fact that you do care about the main character makes you like them even more. The only thing I think would have made this better in terms of the presentation of the game is some voice acting.

Pros:

• The character renders are absolutely fantastic in this game
• I found the main character to be very likable
• The way that the story is very character centric was something that I enjoyed a lot
• You will end up feeling very connected to some of the characters

Cons:

• As I write this the game is not finished and there is no date for the next update
• I do think if some of the dialogue was streamlined a tad and spellchecked a bit better, the game would truly be incredible!
