However, after spending some serious time with this, I can see why so many people have gotten hooked on this game. You can play this on your PC, but from what I have seen and read online, many people play this on their phones. This is the kind of game that is like a dream for people who love to customize characters as you get to customize your own little anime style characters with what feels like an unlimited number of options!

This is the kind of game that is like a dream for people who love to customize characters as you get to customize your own little anime style characters with what feels like an unlimited number of options!

Gacha Alright!

The reason that Gacha Neon may be giving you a little bit of Deja Vue is because this game is actually a mod of the very popular Gacha Club which is a game that I put a whole lot of time into! That game had a fun anime vibe to it and had a very Japanese feel to it. If you liked that game there is no way in hell that you are not going to find yourself just as addicted here. I would go as far as saying that once you start playing this, there is no way you will go back to the original game!

My Little Anime Avatar Peeps!

The whole point of Gacha Neon is that you create these little anime characters that serve as your avatars. I am not exaggerating when I say that pretty much the only limitation is your imagination. I have always loved messing around in character creation suits ever since I got WWF War Zone for the Nintendo 64 back in 1998. Since then, creating and tinkering with characters has been something that I love. I will say that you have to be into the whole anime and Japanese style to appreciate this, to be fair, Gacha is in the title so if that fact the game has a very Japanese vibe about it shocks you, that is kind of on you!

What To Do, What To Do?

Pretty much everything that you could do in Gacha Club is available in Gacha Neon. You have the same main story/adventure mode where you send your little characters into battle to level them up and make them stronger. The funny thing about this is that it is so simple, but there is just something so satisfying about watching your little guy's numbers keep going up. You have the studio mode which is a lot of fun as you can create these little scenes with your characters. You even have a selection of mini-games. For what looks like a shallow experience on the surface, the game is actually packed with content.

So, What Exactly Is New?

That is the million dollar question, what makes Gacha Neon worth playing over the original game it is based on? To start with the invasive ads that would pop up all the time in Gacha Club are gone! However, it is the massive amount of extra stuff for your little characters that makes this better than the original. You have a ton of new stuff that you can deck our characters out with as well as new pets and a bunch of fun new scenarios for the studio mode as well.

Pros:

• It gives you way more stuff for your characters
• The way you can make your own little scenes is fun
• It makes an already good game even better
• I love the whole anime and Japanese vibe the game has going on

Cons:

• If the first game did not grab you, this one will not either
• While this is fantastic, once I had my fill, I had no desire to come back
