Gorgeous Artwork and Animation

Aether Gazer’s preview trailer opens with a bang, showing off animation and artwork nothing short of stunning. The game is being brought out by Yostar, who is well known for their games with superior artwork and animation. It’s easy to tell this is one of Yostar’s work simply because of how beautiful it is.

Male Characters Available

One of the key complaints many players have about Gacha games is the lack of male characters to play. Gacha games are often heavily slanted toward beautiful female characters, with relatively few if any male characters available at all. Aether Gazer seems determined to add a little balance, with at least some male characters available. These male characters are well designed too, with some of them having creative styling like alligator helmets to make them unique. This is a refreshing change where most male characters, if they exist at all, are an afterthought.

Thoughtful Combat

Beautiful artwork and a more balanced ratio of female to male characters are great, but it’s little more than an art museum if the game itself isn’t good. Aether Star is a fun game, quite similar to Honkai Impact, that offers a range of fun combat features.

Players can create special combos using two or three modifiers set as your team. Players can also take a special cat robot called the M.E.O.W. support system into battle, and it can change things up still more. On top of these modifiers, the AI is well developed and responsive.

A Bit Grindy

Aeither Gazer is in closed beta right now, so this may change later in the game. As it stands right now, the game tends toward being more grindy, with lots of repeats needed to get anything done in the game. Since the game is still being developed, it’s possible this will smooth out by the time it is formally released.

Aether Gazer has the potential to be an amazing game. Even right now with its current level of testing and polish, it brings a lot of value to players. The game offers sparkling animations and graphics, male characters as well as female, and a smooth combat system that is pleasant to run.
