|Anime Games, Games with Character Creation, Gacha Games
Gacha World was always going to be a game that got me hooked. If you love anime characters, Gacha, and stuff like this, prepare to be addicted! This is a game that I have been mostly playing on my phone, but as you can see, you can also play it on your PC too. If the whole random nature of Gacha collectibles is not something that typically hooks you, move on, this is not for you. However, if you love anime characters and other games that have this kind of style, keep on reading as I think this could be the game you are looking for.
The Gacha Summoner
For what is essentially a mobile, game, Gacha World does go above and beyond to try and have a fun and engaging story for players to get invested in. We play as a character that gets sucked into the Gacha Realm and this cute little fairy character called Ellie is going to accompany us as we travel to different worlds in order to fight and protect them from this evil corruption that is spreading. Hey, it may not be award-winning stuff, but I still found it fun, cute, and quirky.
Getting Ready For Battle
The core gameplay of Gacha World sees us building up an epic army of various characters that we collect as we progress through the game. You then send these characters out on quests and battles so that they can level up, improve, and of course, get you some of that sweet loot. A huge part of the addictive nature of the game is getting new costumes and characters and improving what you already have. You more or less set up your team and then let it play out, but it does let you interact in a few different ways such as changing your element during battle. It sounds very basic I know, but once you are in it, you get really invested and hooked.
Keeping You Coming Back For More
While Gacha World does have a fun story mode, I was very impressed with how stacked with game modes this title was. You have an event mode which is kind of like going on raids and playing with others. You have an arena mode where you fight wave after wave of enemies. There is a boss mode to really test your skills and there is also a tower mode too. There is a lot to keep you busy in this game and I always felt like I was being rewarded with something new or there was some kind of new event or something new for me to try and unlock.
That Funky Anime Style
I just adore the whole visual spectacle that Gacha World is! This is a very anime looking game. It has these funky characters that you can make even more funky as getting new gear for them is a huge part of the appeal of this game! I love all of the bright visuals and just how wild and crazy everything is. It may be a bit hard to follow when there is a ton of stuff flashing and all this craziness going on, but that is all part of the charm of the way that the game looks if you ask me.
At the end of the day, a game like Gacha World is not going to be for everyone. If you like anime and games where most of the fun comes from collecting things, I have a feeling you will have a lot of fun with this. I found myself pretty addicted to it, so addicted that there came a point where I had to say, ok, that is enough, time to play something else. However, I loved this while I was playing it and perhaps it will suck me back in!
- I love the bright and zany style that the game has
- It can be a very addictive game
- There are many different game modes
- It is fun in single and multiplayer
- It may be “too anime” for some people
- While I loved my time with it, I did eventually have my fill and have to move on
