I must admit that I kind of went into Girl Next Door with the hope that it would be a lewd game based on that movie with the hot chick from 24 that came out in the mid-00s. While this is not that that, it is still a lewd game, it is actually a visual novel, but it is not one where you get to make a ton of choices and dictate which direction the story is going in. It is a very short game and the kind of thing that is a one and done kind of experience.

Everybody Needs Good Neighbors

The premise of Girl Next Door is the thought that you never really know what your neighbors are like behind closed doors. The game has five different stories and none of them are connected, but I am not saying that is a bad thing. Having five independent stories can work pretty well.

I like how each of the stories has its own theme. For example, you have the soldier who comes across the slutty chick in the diner. The babysitter who wants to sit somewhere naughty and the pool cleaner who gets his pipes cleaned by the local cougar. Each of the stories is done in a fun way and is not meant to be taken seriously.

Taking A Joy Ride

While each of the five stories that Girl Next Door tells does have some charm. This is a game where you will not be getting to make much in the way of choices and you are really here just for the ride and the experience. The game is probably going to take you all of about 30 minutes to see it all.

One thing that may tantalize you a little bit more to give this a try is that you can “play” the game, well experience is the better word in VR. You do not have to play VR, you can just play the game as you would a normal visual novel, but having the ability to play this in VR may make it more appealing to some folks.

Not Sure That Is How It Works!

Visually, I like the style of Girl Next Door as it has a kind of comic book thing going on. It has some very attractive character models and there is a decent amount of animation to the sex scenes.

The thing is some of the positions are super odd and I do not actually see how the people are having sex. It is not horrible and if anything, it made me laugh which was a good thing as the game is certainly made for laughs.

I think that Girl Next Door is not a terrible experience at all. It does what it does for laughs and in that regard, I did think it was pretty decent. It did make me laugh on more than one occasion and even though it is short, I actually think that works to the games advantage as it could easily have overstayed its welcome. However, I get why some people may be mad at how short the game is.
