Let’s begin with the art style of this game. The game clearly leans into the anime and manga style. With hand drawn still images being the main appeal of this game visually. While we would have appreciated more animation on offer here, we have to say that the visuals on offer are really well done and offer some truly raunchy scenes that will make just about any lover of these titles hot and bothered.

Then as for the gameplay, it’s not a complex and nuanced offering but it’s exactly what you would expect. You take the girl out, do activities, build your relationship, dress her up in new clothes and build a rapport. Then in return, you grow your bond, unlock more intense and dirty scenes that you can enjoy and this is the reward system that any player can get behind. It’s nothing to write home about but its probably exactly what you came here for.

Then as for the story, from the outside looking in, we rather cynically expected nothing of this game and it pleasantly surprised us. The game offers a compelling love interest, some fantastic writing, a narrative that offers more depth than simply win over the girl to fuck her senseless. Plus, the game has a total of seven alternative endings which is great to see.

Overall, we have to say that Devil Girl is a real surprise package. From the outside looking in, it seems like a cookie-cutter sex sim.
