Half-Demon Shinobi

When I say that Half-Demon Shinobi blew me away with its visuals, that is a massive understatement. I first saw one of the animated sex scenes for this game, and I was sure it was an actual movie and not a game, that is how good the scene I saw was! Add to this a story about sexy demons and some fun deck building gameplay, and you pretty much ensured that you had a game that I was sure to like. This was a fun time for me, but I will say that this is for those of you who like deck building games, as that is pretty much all that the gameplay is.

What Is A Name?

One thing that I want to get out of the way is perhaps the main reason you were drawn to Half-Demon Shinobi, and that is the title, specifically the way they wrote the title! I am a massive fan of the Shinobi series, Shinobi 3 being my personal favorite. I think that it was a fair assumption to make that this would be a side-scrolling action game, as the shinobi in the title uses the Sega style! Thankfully, I love rouge like and deck building games, so this won me over; however, I can see why some people may have come into this expecting a 2D action game.

One Demon At A Time

The story in Half-Demon Shinobi was actually fantastic, so I am not going to spoil too much here. The basics are that we have this demon hunter chick called Manari, and she ends up teaming up with a guy called Agu, and due to something called The Bone of the Immortals, she ends up with powers, but also unleashing three demonic babes on the world! Now these two need to team up in order to fight and kill the demons that are threatening the land. This is pretty much stuff, and if you have a thing for stories about things like demons and succubi, you will get a huge kick out of this.

Playing The Right Kind Of Cards

The gameplay of Half-Demon Shinobi is that of a classic deck building game. You have a set of cards, and you use these to dish out attacks, defend, and give yourself buffs, and so on. After a match, you can get new cards, get rid of old ones, and so on. There is a real random nature here, and I found myself really sweating after getting a few bad hands! The combat is fast-paced, and the rogue-like nature of it ensures that you never really know what is coming next. Of course, this is something of an acquired taste. I have a buddy who loved the story, the presentation, and the general idea of this game, but he hates card-based battle systems, and he could not get into this. For those who do like this kind of thing, this may be quite simple, but it is still pretty fun.

At Her Feet

The developer of this sure must have a thing for feet, as I would say that the main fetish here seems to be feet. However, Half-Demon Shinobi is up there as one of the best-looking lewd games that I have played this year! The intro cut scene is phenomenal, honestly, it is movie-like quality, that is how good it is! The whole game has a very high end look to it, and I get that some of this may be done by AI, but no matter who the game was created by, I can hand on heart say that it looks fantastic! There are plenty of great XXX scenes in the game, and while I did feel like they did have more foot jobs than anything else, they were still a ton of fun to see.

Pros:

• I was blown away by how good the game looked
• It may be simple, but the card-based combat is fun
• The story really got me invested
• This is fun if you love deck-building rogue-like games

Cons:

• There is a real emphasis on feet in the game
• You do have to be into this genre to like it
