Familiar Spirit of the Demon Lord

Familiar Spirit of the Demon Lord is a game that has been out in Japan for a while, but it has now come to the West. This is a pretty damn fun visual novel/RPG style game that may not be super long, but it is a memorable experience and perfect if you are in the mood for a lighter hearted, but still pretty sexy visual novel game that is not going to take over your whole life in order to see all that it has.

I Look Pretty Good For A 2400 Year Old!

The story of the game is awesome. I always like it when a game will try and have fun and fun is probably the best way to describe the story of Familiar Spirit of the Demon Lord. The character that we play as is the prince of the demon realm. He wanted to summon his very own familiar for his birthday, but something went wrong and he ends up summoning a human girl instead!

As he is the demon prince, he needs to show that he is all-powerful and that his magic abilities are second to none. How does he decide to do this? By making his human girl into a demon of course. There is a lot of funny stuff in the story and even though it is short, I feel that the characters are all very well developed.

While there is a fair bit of reading involved as you play through Familiar Spirit of the Demon Lord. One of the things that I thought was really cool about it was how it kept the player engaged the whole time. Yes, you will have to make various choices in the story, but this is a fairly linear game where you can see all that it has to offer in just a couple of playthroughs.

You have to make decisions like what your human soon to be demon needs to do such as cleaning, going to town, or providing services if you know what I mean. There is stuff to buy and so on. Even though this is a short game, there is not much wasted time where which was something that I really did like.

Didn’t I See You On TV?

I love and I mean love the presentation that Familiar Spirit of the Demon Lord has going on. The game manages to look like an anime show that would air on something like Cartoon Network. Well, if Cartoon Network allowed lewd content of course. Everything is drawn very well and I love how fun all of the characters look. While there is a fair bit of lewdness in the game it is not the be all and end all of what this is offering.

It is also a game that is very charming in its character designs too. The sound design I will admit is a little sparse and I feel this is the one thing that they could have done better.

Pros:

• I thought the story was very amusing
• Some very fun characters to talk to
• There is a lot of fun to the gameplay
• It is the kind of game that makes you smile while you play it
• Some awesome lewd content is also here

Cons:

• The length may be an issue for some
• The sound design needed more work
