Lust and Power

The first image I saw of Lust and Power was of a dude sitting on a throne with two babes beneath him and one had a plate of chicken on her butt! That right there sets the tone for the type of game you can expect when you fire this up. For me, this is the kind of game that is not meant to be taken seriously. Unlike many other lewd games, while there are certainly a lot of visual novel aspects to the game, it has more actual “gameplay” than many other games in this genre.

The Demon World Invades

Ok, so I have been looking at this page for about five minutes trying to think how to describe the story of what is going on here. I will give you my thoughts on the way that I see the story in Lust and Power. Basically, you are a dude who has inherited a big house, you go to said house and discover there are many weird things going on.

Things get even weirder as demon/monsters invade the town and want to bang all the girls. If the demons are banging the girls, who are you going to bang? I like the idea of the story and while I said it is best not to take it too seriously, I really feel that they could have had a bit more humor here and it would have been all the better for it.

Who Got RPG Combat In My Lewd Visual Novel?

Apart from the first image I saw of the game, it was the gameplay that made me interested to see what exactly Lust and Power was all about. While there is a story here and you will have to move it along by talking to people and trying to say the right thing. You also have many other gameplay styles at play here. The core of the game I would say is very much like a point and click adventure game. You need to find items, use items, and so on.

However, Lust and Power also has many RPG elements to it as well. The combat system is actually pretty fun and easy to get to grips with. The only issue I have and to be honest, it is a pretty big one and that is the progression. You level up at a snail’s pace and I can see this turning off some players. There are many quests to go, people to talk to, monsters to fight and of course, babes to bang! So, if the slow progression does not bother you there is a lot of game here and as I write this it is still being updated.

Demon Toons!

The art style is one that I really do like. Too many lewd games go for that realistic Unity approach and they can all kind of look the same. With Lust and Power, we have a more animated almost comic book style to it and I like it. The game is also animated in places, most notably the sex scenes and these do help bring the game to life.

The soundtrack is rather lacking and there is no voice acting. In the game's defense, it is not 100 percent finished as I write this so perhaps a more dynamic soundtrack is something that is coming.

Pros:

• I liked the story of the game
• It has a comic book kind of style to it which is cool
• Plenty of things to do in the game
• The combat system is basic, but it is also pretty damn fun
• Lots of hot babes!

Cons:

• The progression can feel like a major grind!
• The soundtrack is very, very lacking
