Free Pass

I think that there is an interesting premise with Free Pass. This is a lewd visual novel that if you ask me leans more towards romance than sex and that is not always a bad thing if the storytelling can pull it off. This is a game that a good friend of mine absolutely loves and I have read more than a few others do as well. However, for me, I found that while the game had some good ideas, it was lacking in direction. Still, I was interested enough to keep plowing through the game.

Getting A Free Pass

I was actually really intrigued by the premise of Free Pass and the idea that we have this rather reserved, but gorgeous Asian woman that loves her husband and lives a good life. She gets the chance to get a free pass and try and embrace her wild and sensual side. Will this be something that makes her marriage stronger or will it lead her down a lewd path that will make her forget her vows? As I said, this is a premise that I think is very interesting, but it felt like the developer lost track of this and just started throwing more and more stuff at the story. The visuals are no doubt fantastic, especially the Asian characters, but it may not be enough to keep me invested for the next update.

Too Many Cooks!

I went into Free Pass thinking that we were going to get a focused narrative where it was based around this one girl who has a real-life changing event. However, they throw way more characters into his story than is necessary and the tone is all over the place. One moment it can be serious and then the next it has some kind of sitcom style goofy humor. It is like the developer did not know what direction to take the story in and as a result, I found the story to be very confusing and hard to follow which ultimately made me lose interest. However, I do have to say that my friend got really into this game and said that he liked the way there were so many characters and plot threads in the game.

Taking Notes!

You know how I was complaining that there are too many characters and plotlines in Free Pass? Well, that does affect the actual gameplay as well. There is so much going on here that it can not just be hard to follow, but it also means that it can be hard to keep track of the various relationships which means it can then be hard to know what choices are best to go for. I should not have to write down notes to keep track of all my comings and goings with characters.

Pros:

• The main character is very easy on the eyes
• You can play the MC in a few different ways, including trans if you like
• The renders in the game are very well done
• There are many different characters and plotlines which some may seem as a huge plus

Cons:

• There is just way too much going on to keep track off
• The game may not be hardcore enough for people as it verges on being more of a romantic visual novel than a straight up lewd one

With its interesting premise, Free Pass was a lewd game that I was very interested to check out. The thing with a lewd visual novel is that you never really know if it is going to click with you until you spend some real quality time with it. While I would not say that what we have here is a perfect game, it kept me interested, and I think with just a few tweaks, they could turn this into something pretty awesome. It is a very unique take on the cheating wife story that you have probably experienced a million times in other lewd games.

The Mistakes Of The Past

I think calling Free Pass a cheating wife kind of game, as I did in the intro, is actually a little bit harsh. The story starts with the husband actually cheating on his wife, and he is so guilty that he decides to give his wife a hall pass and let her go out and bang some other people. His idea being that this will help soothe his guilt, but it also may help even the scales and make his wife forgive him. On one hand, it is pretty screwed-up logic, but to be fair, you can see that it is a last-ditch attempt from a husband to try and save his failing marriage.

So Close!

One of the cool things about Free Pass is that the story can have her cheating with not just dudes, but there is a lesbian option as well if that is something you are more interested. I just think that they have a fantastic premise here, and there are parts where the story 100 percent delivers on this, and it had me invested. However, the translation in some parts of the game are a little iffy as there were a few things that she would say where the wife seemed pretty different from one scene to the next one, if that makes sense. Just a little tightening up here and there, and this would honestly be a 10/10 with how it is all shaping up.

Making Me Think!

With the lewd visual novel gameplay that we have in Free Pass, it is pretty standard stuff, and if you have played any kind of lewd visual novel before, you will feel right at home here. The game gives you some options. For example, you can have her just trying to hook up with dudes, or you can make it so there are chicks and even trans characters if you want. I found that the story choices in the game had some real weight to them. I think the mark of a good visual novel is that when a choice does pop up, there are many times when I really have to think about what I want to do or say, as I feel that my choice really mattered.

Goo Be Gone!

The Asian wife who is the star in Free Pass is a total babe. I think that she manages to look like a real person, but she is also very hot. The scenes with her are awesome, and there is a great mixture of sex scenes of all different styles, and I feel that the game is very generous with the rate at which they are dishing them out as you progress through the game. But, there is one aspect of the presentation in the game that I am not a huge fan of, and that is when a dude gets off. What the heck is this stuff??? It looks like some kind of toothpaste or alien substance, and I will admit, it kind of took me out of some of the scenes with how strange that it looked.

Pros:

• I got very invested in the story being told
• The wife is gorgeous
• It was a unique take on a story about cheating
• The choices felt like they mattered

Cons:

• The translation was sometimes a bit spotty
• The visuals are like 95 percent great, but the goo…. Gross!

Free Pass is a visual novel in a modern style in which you have to help a beautiful girl to make the right choice between her husband and her lover.

Plot

The main role will be played by a pretty Asian girl named Yun Ni Ko. She was very strictly brought up and given into a marriage of convenience to a very respectable gentleman. The girl did not love him, but was a model wife for many years. But suddenly she meets a perfect guy named Daniel, whom she falls in love with. He is a simple construction worker, and her friend Susan advises her not to get into a sinful relationship. Will he stand the test, or plunge into the abyss of debauchery with the first man he meets?

Gameplay

The developers from After Choices give you complete freedom of action. You can go through the whole game, remaining an honest spouse. Answer questions, reason about life, and explore the characters of other characters in the novel.
