Haremon

Today we are taking a closer look at a game called Haremon. The developer calls this a dating sim and RPG and I would agree with that. However, I would also say that this falls into a visual novel kind of game and even a bit of Pokémon too! In short, it has many gameplay styles that I like and as the game is free, you have no reason not to check it out. I will say that a ton of work has gone into the game so if you enjoy the game and are able to, throwing these guys a couple of bucks on Patreon is cool.

You Are Not Professor Oak

The story at play here has a lot of charm to it. In Haremon you are summoned to a lab, but there is no creepy old dude like Professor Oak here. Instead, you are greeted by a very hot scientist wearing very little clothing. Before you got here, you find your first Haremon a hot cat girl and she will be the first of many that you have on your quest.

This is a game that does not take itself too seriously and that is something I really do love about this game. It is so much fun and just has a ton of personality. Even when it is trying to be sexy, it is doing it with a massive wink at the player.

Catching Monster Girls, Banging Monster Girls, And Fighting Monsters!

The gameplay of Haremon is all over the place and I mean that in a complimentary way. There are many visual novel aspects of the game where you will talk to various characters to move the story along. You also have dating sim elements too where you will need to build up your relationship with the monster girls you add to your team. You do this to better them in battle and also to score some lewd images of them! You can go to shops to get items and so on, but you also have a strange shift in gameplay when you start going into dungeons. The game turns into kind of like a board game type thing where you move to different parts of the board and have to do various things. The combat in the game is time-based. You select your attack, wait your turn and watch it unleash. Adding to the fun here is a rhythm thing. At the top of the screen, a few button prompts will appear, hit these during your attack and you do more damage.

So Cute, So Sexy, So Dangerous!

I love the presentation of Haremon! The different monster girls all have their own look early on in the game I had a catgirl, a witch, and a demon looking girl! You will fight different monsters that can look hilarious. There is a mushroom that looks like a penis, a flower that looks like a vagina, and a condom ghost! The whole game has a very high level of polish to every aspect of it and even the backgrounds are packed with many little details.

The sound design is also very well done. It has a bit of a fantasy vibe about it and that fits in very well with the visuals and the story of the game. I also like the grunting, yelling and so on that would happen during the battles.

Pros:

• There are tons of hot monster girls to catch
• The monsters you fight have very amusing designs
• I found combat to be fun and also require some skill
• It has a great soundtrack
• This is a game that will keep you entertained for quite a while

Cons:

• I would love to hear these monster girls talk in English
• Some of the monster attacks can be annoying to deal with
