Naruto: World of Dreams

See the world of Naturo like never before in Naruto: World of Dreams! Now, when I say this, I don't mean to hype the game up as if it is an outstanding arena brawler or some sort of RPG – far from that. World of Dreams is an eroge visual novel through and through, complete with all the naughty bits fans of the genre love so much.

While the intense battles of the anime are completely absent from this game (for obvious reasons,) there's still a lot for Naruto fans to see in World of Dreams. The game might be a smut novel, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't take the lore of the series with surprising seriousness.

The Naked Truth

As you might expect from this sort of game, player interaction in Naruto: World of Dreams is kept to a minimum. Your only task will be to read lots of text and pick between dialogue options until "something" interesting happens. In this regard, the game is very similar to Summertime Saga – mostly.

The game takes place in an alternate reality where Obito succeeds with his plans for the Infinite Tsukuyomi – by the way if you're interested in the lore of Naruto, but don't want to read the whole manga or watch the anime, consider giving the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series a try.

In this perfect world, every shinobi lives a peaceful life. You take the role of multiple ninjas from the Hidden Leaf and beyond, as they live their best lives and enjoy each other's company – perhaps a bit too intimately.

Art and Jutsu

World of Dreams' art style is fairly reminiscent of the one from the series – at least enough for fans of the manga to recognize the characters. Most female characters retain their proportions from the anime – which apparently is a common complaint within this genre.

Still, as well-defined as the art can be, I can't help but feel like it looks a bit too stale – as if the characters lack some expressivity. Don't get me wrong, the h-scenes look good enough, with plenty of detail and all, but the poses all look rigid which, coupled with the lackluster color palette, makes the game look a bit cheap.

Additional Incentives

There are multiple scenarios to pick in World of Dreams. As mentioned before, most of them are simple "What If" scenarios that are entertaining even for Naruto fans that might not be all that interested in the game's naughtier bits.

With multiple story paths to choose from and a variety of spicy scenes to discover, World of Dreams manages to keep things fresh and the replayability high – something that can't be said of most games in this genre.
