I have seen this game be described as a lewd visual novel, a clicker game, and even a dating sim, but I would say that, in my personal opinion, this game is best described as a sex simulator style of game. I am not exaggerating when I say that you can see all this game has to offer in around 20 minutes; it is a very short and sweet kind of experience, but I think that works to its advantage.

The Girl Next Door

While there is a story mode in Zoey: My Hentai Sex Doll, this is not what I would call a story driven game. The basics are that we live next to this super hot chick, Zoey, and she is very sexy, and she has a real love for hot and steamy sex. The premise of the game is that we are trying to start some kind of relationship with Zoey, but I never got that at all from my time with the game. Zoey wants to have a hot hookup with us, and that is pretty much it. I never got any kind of dating sim vibe from the story at all; this is just all about having some fun sex with a hot girl…. And there is nothing wrong with that! I think some people got mad because the developer made it sound like it was a dating sim/falling in love kind of story.

Winning Her Heart

Gameplay wise, Zoey: My Hentai Sex Doll is something that I have read be described as a kinetic visual novel, but that is not the case at all. While the gameplay here is quite shallow, it offers more than enough interactivity so that you are not just looking at the screen doing nothing. Zoey has a heart in the corner of the screen, and you need to pleasure her to fill it up. You do this by selecting sex toys and deciding how you want to use them. There is also an arcade style mini-game where a bar will move from left to right, and you have to hit the icon at the right time. Granted, nothing here is groundbreaking, but it does offer more interactivity than some reviews are saying.

So Fresh, So Clean

Hey, those Outkast guys were onto something with that one, weren't they? I am a huge fan of the art style of Zoey: My Hentai Sex Doll. Zoey is truly gorgeous, and I love how freaky she is. The game has some basic animation, and some of the stuff with the sex toys is pretty good, but the actual sex was a little lacking, as the dude sort of just vibrates if you get what I'm saying. Still, this is a very nice game to look at, Zoey is a perfect 10, and I love how they have used bright and vibrant colors to bring it all to life. The UI is very easy to get to grips with, and I liked how, when there was a choice to be made, they were nice and large, so you knew exactly what you were doing. There is also a “free mode” in the game once you have beaten the story that lets you check out the gorgeous art without playing the game. Plus, you can have fun customizing certain aspects of the game here, too.

A Little Extra Banging For Your Buck

The stuff with Zoey in Zoey: My Hentai Sex Doll lasts all of about 20 minutes, but if you are digging the vibe of the game, they do offer DLC. There are more scenes and even more characters that you can fool around with. Granted, it does not offer any more “gameplay” than what you will have seen in the base game. However, if the art style is something that you clicked with, I do think that the DLC is worth checking out. Personally, I think that had the DLC been unlockable content in the game, it would have made this seem like a much better package, but at the end of the day, I get why they did this the way that they did.

Pros:

• I thought that Zoey was super hot!
• The mini-games are simple, but add interactivity
• I liked the idea of this hot chick wanting to hook up just for fun
• The DLC really does make this a more complete package

Cons:

• You can see all the base game has to offer in about 20 minutes
• I had no issues, but some have reported technical issues with the game
