Even though Oh So Hero is still in development, you can check out the game right now and get an idea of what this lewd Metroidvania style of game is all about. I thought that the idea of the game sounded pretty interesting so I gave the current version that is out there the good old college try and I wanted to share my thoughts on it today with you guys out there.

Aliens In A Furry World

I think that we do have to give the developer behind Oh So Hero a lot of credit for coming up with this crazy story. I will admit I had a hard time following it, but the basics are there are these aliens that have come to this planet (a planet full of anthropomorphic style creatures) and now there is some big tournament with these gems that you are part of. In many ways, it reminds me of one of the crazier Saturday morning cartoons that I would watch when I was a kid…. Only with a lot more naked furry style characters banging all over the place.

Bright Can Make Things Right

There is no way that you cannot be impressed by the visuals of Oh So Hero! I just said how the story reminded me of a Saturday morning cartoon, well that rings doubly true for the amazing visuals. It is all so bright, colorful, and well detailed that even though the whole furry thing has never done anything for me, I was blown away by how good this game looked. The actual “game” looks great and has a 2.5D style to it that really does pop. There is impressive animation and that is not even counting the XXX content. There is a lot of lewd content in the game already and this is very well done, with some excellent animation, but I guess your enjoyment of it will depend on your furry status!

Me And The C Key Have A Real Problem

One of the main things that drew me towards Oh So Hero was the developer’s description of how it was like a Metroidvania style of game. I have to be honest and say that I would say this is more of a straight up platformer than a Metroidvania game, but that is not me putting the game down.

I think this is a fun, challenging, and charming game and one that does take a while to get to grips with. You will be engaging in platforming, but there is also a lot of combat here too. I just wish that they would let me rebind the keys as you have to use the C key to jump and this is a massive pain in the butt!

Even though Oh So Hero is not yet complete, what you can play right now is a great indication of how this thing is turning out. I am very excited for the next big update as this is a game that I have had a lot of fun with so far. It is challenging, but not in a way that makes it a chore to play. I am not even someone that is into the whole furry thing, but I still had a fantastic time with this and it is going to be a game I keep coming back to each time they have added something new to it. (based on the current version as of writing)
