SoldGirl Town is a game that would never pass advertising standards in most parts of the world in a million years. That's why it's a game only released on forums to communities that have a fascination with indie games that stretch morals and ethics. But that statement alone has probably interested you in what this game is, right?
SoldGirl Town, as you probably have guessed, is a hentai game. The core premise of the title is you, the player, starting an illegal prostitution ring where gameplay is about building your operation to make as much money as possible. Those with even the slightest of morals may want to turn away at this point. But for letting the world know what's out there, we soldier on.
Billy Joel Ain't Singin' About This.
There's plenty to unpack from SoldGirl Town, all for the wrong reasons. We won't even bother to sugarcoat the game's core theme; it's a sex-trafficking management title. The gameplay consists of taking the shoes of a local trafficker, kidnapping girls, and forcing them into prostitution. We've seen lewd games before that at least provide some mildly entertaining and lighthearted mechanics, but this is seriously next-level degeneracy.
Unshockingly, SoldGirl Town was made in Japan, where there tend to be looser rules about these kinds of games. That means the title doesn't have a lot of English translations, but it's not hard to understand what's going on. Players have a management interface where they'll intricately control every aspect of their prostitution operation. Honestly, the level of detail is alarming.
It gets worse when you realize all the following sex scenes are torturous, extreme, and downright unpleasant to view for anyone that's got a lick of morality about them. What's challenging to do is analyze a game where even the most open of critics starts to align their ethics with the game's mechanics. It renders it impossible to look at the game objectively.
SoldTown Girl is just one of those games that aren't going to impress anybody but a small select few. The inherent problem is the level of extremity and degeneracy put into the game, leading players to believe that the community developing and supporting this game has a severe hatred towards humanity. It's simply a hard no from us, but it's unlikely to stop anyone still being intrigued.
Not a Town You'd Live In
Society is akin to sex games now, and it's fair to say that there are a decent few out there. Brothel games like Fantasy Tavern Sextet - Vol.1 New World Days are arguably one of them because they're lighthearted and fantastic. SoldTown Girl strikes a hard and heavy note of the realities of sex trafficking, and it feels like it was done on purpose for their own or others' enjoyment.
We're going to reiterate that it's impossible to review SoldTown Girl from our perspective objectively. But who's to stop you from giving it a try to form your own opinion on it? We'll share our insight that nobody will enjoy this game unless you are unmoved by these extremely dark aspects of humanity.
Round-Up - Pros & Cons
- The realistic nature of sex trafficking and prostitution is disturbing
- Level of detail questions morals and ethics
- Gameplay is downright degenerate
