Witchy Life Story

Witchy Life Story is a cozy story rich crafting game that puts you in the shoes of a witch with a big problem. She is the youngest witch in a long line of impressive witches—and she keeps making mistakes. In fact, it’s so bad, grandmother has given you just one last chance to straighten up. She has dismissed you to a village that hates Witchcraft, and you have just two weeks to help them get the place shipshape for their fair or you will be disowned.

You’re not alone though, you have a crow familiar to help you, and the mayor at least doesn’t seem to hate you. Unfortunately, she’s very concerned about your inability to pay attention. It’s up to you to fix it.

Adorable Graphics

This game features 2D artwork with a cute, hand drawn appearance. All of the artwork is whimsical, and very similar to Strange Horticulture. The characters aren’t animated per se, but they do change expressions at appropriate points during dialogue. Some of these expressions are hilarious, especially since it is evident that the character definitely has a reputation for being inept.

Customizable Characters

A really neat feature of the game is that your character can be customized. Hair, facial features, and even pronouns can all be decided on before you begin the journey. You can even choose to have hairy legs and moles, as well as a generous range of body sizes.

If you decide you want to freshen up your look at any time during the game, there is a handy little wardrobe in your house that you can change your appearance at.

Cute storyline

The story is very rich for a cozy game. It’s evident on startup that our character has quite the past. Your character does not pay attention and has about the same knowledge level as you do starting out. The recipes aren’t in your grimoire because each one is tailored to the specific situation.

You’ll need to use your grimoire to select the plants and method of delivery to help each person with their needs. You’ll also uncover a whole lot of story as you make potions for people. There’s certainly a lot going on in such a small town. They need a lot more than magic to help them out. Their personal issues extend well beyond a fair.

Lots to do

Besides the main story and making potions, there’s also a garden to tend. You’ll need to take care of it every day to make sure it is in tip top health. You can also visit a store for additional supplies besides the herbs, or get yourself a tarot reading.
