Ambition: A Minuet in Power is an 18th-century dating simulator where you step into the shoes of a French lady looking for love. Will you be successful in your search for romance, or will you get involved in political drama that leads you to the guillotine? I guess you’ll have to play the game and find out for yourself.

Much more than a dating sim

Ambition: A Minuet in Power is not just a dating sim, and there’s a whole lot more to it than initially meets the eye. Romance is a big part of the game, sure, but while searching for love you’ll also be on a quest for power and money. Plan your schedule, attend parties, and mingle with the wealthy to learn secrets that you’ll be able to sell or exchange for luxurious items. Just be careful though, as your reputation and credibility are on the line, so if you make too many questionable decisions and get caught then you might meet your end.

An eccentric cast of loveable characters

As with any good dating sim, Ambition: A Minuet in Power features a whole host of potential love interests for you to choose from. From a charismatic priest to a fiery widow, all sorts of characters are present in this game and every single one of them is unique and fleshed out, so be sure to get to know them all and choose your favourite. There’s bound to be at least one that you really like!

Much like Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator or HuniePop though, it takes time to romance characters, so try not to be disheartened if you don’t win someone over immediately. The wait will be worth it, I promise, just keep getting close to your favourite character and I’m sure you’ll be dating them in no time.

Fantastic artwork and soundtrack

The artwork and illustrations in this game are wonderful, with every outfit and environment being incredibly detailed and true to the 18th-century era. I know graphics aren't everything when it comes to games, but it definitely doesn’t hurt to have good ones, and Ambition: A Minuet in Power does a fantastic job with them.

Not only is the artwork fantastic, but the original soundtrack is great too and will make you feel like you’re really in 18th century Paris. A lot of effort has been put into making this game authentic to the time it’s set in and it really has paid off.

Ambition: A Minuet in Power is one of the best dating sims around and is so much more intricate than anything else out there. The quest for power and wealth alongside all the romance adds a really unique element to this game and makes it that much better. I’d highly recommend you download Ambition: A Minuet in Power and give it a go.

The game could do with a few more love interests as there aren’t really that many
There’s a lot of drama in this game so if that’s not something you like in a dating sim, this may not be the game for you
