Beast Beat

Beast Beat is a fantastic gay furry rhythm game that I have had an absolute blast with! If you are into the epic world of gay furry video games, this is 100 percent a must play. Now, I will warn you that some of the stuff in this game is locked behind the patreon paywall. However, I am actually okay with this. This is a very high quality and well made game, easily the kind of game I would have paid like 20 or so bucks for on steam so I have no problem at all supporting the developer to get the best experience.

Songs Are Stories

As far as the story of Beast Beat goes it is done in a very interesting way. Each song is kind of like its own theme and story and that is something I thought was really cool. It allowed the developer/artist to get very creative and treat each track as something special. There is an Egyptian themed one where Anubis has trapped your explorer butt and now you must sexually serve this god. Another one has you experience the story of a brave warrior who is dealing with the devil. There are over 10 songs/experiences for you in this game and they are all entertaining.

Going Deeper

If you are like me and had your interest piqued by the stories that Beast Beat was telling, one of the best things that is locked behind the patreon wall are these CG videos that give more backstory to what is going on. These are fantastic and flesh things out more. The stories are easy to follow as the idea is that you can only sort of see them through your peripheral vision so they have made sure to make them as exaggerated and easy to understand as possible. However, I would love it if these interesting stories were fleshed out a bit more. How they would do that in a rhythm game I am not quite sure, but it would have been very welcomed.

To The Beat!

If you have played any kind of rhythm game before, Beast Beat is going to feel very familiar for you. You have four notes that you need to press to the beat, it sounds simple, but man is this game tough. There are three difficulties, easy which I highly recommend you start with, normal and hell. The jump between normal and hell difficulty is huge, but some of the lewd content is only accessible by beating a song on hell difficulty! This does mean that you have to replay songs over and over again until you are good enough, but to be fair, that is the case for all games of this style. I never had any trouble with missed notes and when I messed up, it was always because of something that I did.

So, Macho

The visual style that they have gone for here in Beast Beat is wild, crazy and I love it! This is some of the most over the top gay furry stuff you will ever see. Big muscular characters in wild sex scenes that fit their songs perfectly are a ton of fun. Both the music (which is great) and the art blend together so well. I have to say the fact that the characters and their movements are so exaggerated means that you can sort of still see what is going on when you are trying to follow the notes. However, it can still be easy to get distracted by something hot and crazy that is going on, but that is part of the challenge of this game!

• The lewd art is so over the top and awesome!
• The actual rhythm based gameplay is fun and challenging
• I got a kick out of how each song had its own story

Cons:

• The jump between difficulty levels can be a bit jarring
• Some of the best content is locked behind a patreon paywall
