Master of the Harem Guild

In a fantasy setting, a prestigious job differs quite a lot from the desired jobs in reality. No longer are Lawyers, Doctors, Actors or Relators the money-making powerhouses of the world. Instead, you have to earn your coin and the acclaim of many through slaying bloodthirsty monsters. However, what if you were turned away from a monster hunter guild based purely on your looks and lowly status. Well, we are here to tell you that spite is a powerful motivator and Master of the Harem Guild showcases this throughout its impressive run.

This game plays similarly to a number of Eroge games. Games such as Man of the House, Succubus Cafe, Deviant Dungeon and Breeding Village. This game aims to tell a story of revenge and lust. However, will you lust after this game? Or will you seek revenge on the developers for wasting your time and money? We find out in our review of Master of the Harem Guild.

Unintentional Brilliance

So, let’s begin with the storyline of this game. What we mentioned above basically tells you all you need to know. From there on out, it really doesn’t get all that more deep or complex. The story never goes anywhere aside from the main character having his way with each member of the guild. So if you happened to be invested with the revenge aspect of this game, it allows you to see this through to it’s end. However, the main bulk of this games content lies in its graphic portrayals of these revenge scenes.

Now, if you were looking for a way to get yourself off, this game may not offer what you are looking for. Partly due to the content and partly due to the genitalic censorship. However, this game is unintentionally hilarious thanks to it’s ham-fisted writing and bizarre plot points. The epitome of this is the phrases that the player will encounter along the way. Our personal favourite was the term anal orgasm, but there is plenty to choose from.

Then with regards to the scenes presented to the player. It seems like the developer had a tenuous grasp of what occurs during sexual intercourse but once again, this only adds to the rather humourous tone of this game.

The Verdict

This may seem like a rather generous score for a game that underwhelms in a lot of areas. However, hear us out. This game when viewed from a light-hearted perspective is a lot of fun and will grant you hours of enjoyment. The art style is competent, the story while generic has its moments and the writing may be askew, but we really enjoyed dissecting it. If you go into this game expecting a narrative masterclass or a sexual experience like no other, we can tell you now, you will be disappointed.
