Medieval Times

I will admit that when I saw the title of Medieval Times for the first time a few years back, I thought that I was going to be playing a digital version of the badass pinball machine from back in the day, which I freaking adored. Well, turns out that this was not that; instead, we have a lewd visual novel with sandbox elements that has a really cool fantasy setting and is heavily themed around gay sex. Hey, I may have come here for pinball, but I ended up sticking around for the quirky and weird hunky fantasy dude epic that this turned out to be.

One Thing Leads To Another

If you are someone who is into fantasy porn games and fantasy games in general, I think that you will get a kick out of the story that Medieval Times is telling. Our main character is a young man called Bennett, and he lives in the town of Nemerion. I would not say that there is one big overarching story here at play. Instead, we have a series of character interactions that flesh out the world and characters, and it is mostly about building up and developing relationships.

The Right Version

Ok, fellow lewd game fanatics, if you want to check out Medieval Times, I do have something I feel I should warn you about, and that is the version. This is a game that you 10000 percent have to make sure you are playing the most recent version of the game. There is an old version of the game before they reworked it, and it is a buggy and, dare I say, unplayable mess! Thankfully, the developer listened, and they managed to not just fix the bugs and issues the game had, but also add in new and better story elements and make it a much better game in general.

A Hunky Green And Hairy Dude

Nope, I am not talking about The Incredible Hulk from the awesome Marvel Ultimate Alliance game! Medieval Times has one of the most awesome-looking hunky orc characters I have seen in a game. If you like them thick and hairy, you will get a kick out of him. There are some great fantasy characters here, but there are a couple of scenes, such as the Hulk looking dude banging a wolf, that were a little too much for me. Of course, if you are not into dudes or gay sex, chances are the art is not going to be something that you like.

A Real Smooth Ride

I think that this reworked version of the game, which I am pretty sure is the final version of Medieval Times, is a pretty solid lewd experience. The game has a lewd visual novel vibe about it in that you have to make narrative choices to move the different character interactions forward. However, there are also some light sandbox elements in that you can decide where to go, thanks to the map system. While it may not be amazing, if you played the original release of this, you will be blown away by how the developer managed to turn this around. They could have just left this to die, but I respect the hell out of how they had a vision and wanted to make the game work.

Pros:

• I thought that the character designs were pretty cool
• There are some hot scenes in this game
• If you like hunky dudes, you are in for a treat here
• It is amazing how the developer was able to turn this around

Cons:

• I liked most of the characters, but some are kind of gross!
• If you end up playing the old version by mistake, you will hate this!
