Paradise Overlap

You know, it is the simplicity of Paradise Overlap that made me fall in love with this game. Well, that and the hot monster girls, cyberpunk setting, and hot sex scenes of course. Truth be told, I have heard a fair bit of negativity about this game, and while it is cool that we all like different things, I do not see why as I had a blast with this. Now, granted, I am the kind of guy that who as soon as he sees the phrase “monster girls” in a description is already ready to rock and roll. However, I did legit have a fun time with this and it was a solid little lewd game.

“Mixing” Two Things I Love Together

As I said, I love monster girls and Paradise Overlap has monster girls that are living in a cyberpunk city called, LOS STELLA. The idea of the game is that we work as a bartender in one of the most popular bars and we get all kinds of monster chicks and cybernetically enhanced people coming to this bar and it is our job to serve them the drink that they want, lend a sympathetic ear and of course, bang their brains out if they so wish. Hey, as a premise for me, it does not get any better than that.

I Wish There Were More Than Words!

While there is no doubt that Paradise Overlap has a fantastic premise. The thing is, the story never goes anywhere. You get a little bit of dialogue from each of the people that you serve, but it never really dives into anything. It is all quite shallow and I did find that some “stories” would repeat. I would have liked to have connected with some of these characters on a more personal level. I can see why in this regard, some people did find the game a bit lacking. I was kind of hopeful that it would be a situation more like Coffee Talk where you truly feel like you are getting to know these characters, but that is not really the case. The writing that is here is good, I just wish that there were more of it.

Make Me A Manhattan!

Like the story, Paradise Overlap has some rather simplistic gameplay, but I found it quite satisfying and think that keeping it simple works to its benefit. The way it works is a character comes into the bar, they order a drink and then you select the items to make the drink and then serve them it. At best, I would say it is like a mini-game, but it is not hard, yet at the same time, you do actually feel like you are completing a task. Like the story, I can see why this simple gameplay loop did not click for some people. Yet for me, I found this to be a very relaxing and satisfying kind of game to play, again, like the story, I just wish there was a bit more of it.

A Job With Perks!

Of course, the real draw of a game like Paradise Overlap is the XXX content and this game has some amazing XXX content. The characters have a very anime look about them and that is something I am all in on, the monster girl babes are just so freaking hot and I like how they did not go too over the top with their designs. The game really wants you to see the sex scenes to as they are fired at you very quickly and you can even see them all right from the start if you do not want to actually play the game. The sex scenes do have some animation and I think that for the most part, it is very smooth.

• There was something relaxing about mixing the drinks
• The sex scenes were hot and fun!

• I wish that the story with each character was fleshed out more
• Overall, it is a very simplistic kind of lewd game
