Squid Honey

By now, we've all seen the hit Korean Netflix show about a deadly game of survival where players compete in a series of twisted games for a fortune. However, what if that game also included hentai elements? That's the important question that Squid Honey aims to answer.

This mobile game recreates many of the tests fans saw on the show – with a spicy twist. On the surface, Squid Honey follows the same structure as Squid Game, but similarities are only skin-deep in this ecchi game. While it lacks the overt explicit themes of other XXX android games, Squid Honey does include more gameplay than some CG galleries disguised as games, and that's a huge plus in my book.

Come for the Babes, Stay for the Games

In good conscience, it's impossible to say that Squid Honey offers the best digital recreation of Squid Game I've ever seen. If what you're looking for is something that closely mimics the show, you'd be better off playing custom maps in Fortnite or Roblox than Squid Honey,

However, where this game earns some points is in the art department. And no, I don't mean just "those" scenes – the characters and world as a whole feel like an incredibly entertaining parody of the popular TV show. The story won't be winning any Emmy Awards – but that's not why people play this sort of game.

No Squids in Sight

If the game's title similarities to Honey Select tipped you off, then you're more than right. This hentai game is all about putting spicy elements into the Squid Games formula. And when I say that, I mean the formula as a whole – not just a handful of female characters.

Everything in this game feels like a Grand Theft Auto parody of a hypersexualized game show. Even the doll from the Red Light, Green Light challenge has been turned into a bimbo. There's nothing in this game that hasn't been perverted in some way or another.

For die-hard Squid Game fans that might sound terrible – not so much for h-games fans, though. The only woe for that sort of gamer comes in the realization that most of the content in this game is relatively tame. Don't expect hardcore scenes or anything like that – as I said before, the game might even feel more like a parody at times than anything else.

The Power of Good Designs

Beyond the "quality" of the h-scenes, the game has a more than serviceable art style that gives Squid Honey an above-average mark in the looks department. It's all too common to see hentai games with art that's almost AI-generated. That's not the case here, though.

As good as some of the character models look, though, the same can't be said of the games themselves. The visual novel sections of the game look fine enough, but any challenge looks as if it was hastily put together in Unity – and as we all know, that's never a good look. Still, if what you're looking for is a very specific spicy parody of a hit TV show, then Squid Honey is precisely what you were looking for.
