Fortnite Battle Royale
Has it really come to the point where it is finally my turn to talk about Fortnite Battle Royale? Well, this is something I am very happy to do as you could make the argument that this is still the biggest video game in the world right now and it has been for a while now. In all honesty, I cannot see anything in the near future toppling this.
There Can Only Be One!
Was what they said in highlander, but that is especially true for this game. The idea is that you play solo, duos or as a squad. If you play the game solo, you need to outlast the other players and be the last man standing. I have yet to actually win a game of Fortnite Battle Royale I am kind of embarrassed to say when I have played solo.
That is ok because for me playing with friends is way more fun and I do have a few duos and squad wins under my belt. To be honest with you, this is one of those games that is just a lot of fun to play no matter how good you are.
Let’s Deal With The Basics
I want to talk about the basics of what Fortnite Battle Royale offers. The main game sees you leap from the Battle Bus onto an island and from then a timer is ticking down and a storm is driving all the players into a certain part of the map. This circle will close in, forcing you closer and closer to players. Along the way, you need to find items. Items that you can use to build bases or defenses and of course you need weapons. There are tons of weapons hidden around and in the opening minute or so of the game, it is a mad dash where people try franticly to get a weapon. I have had games last ages and games where I am dead in a minute or so!
Keep On Moving
One of the things that I love about Fortnite Battle Royale is how they keep changing things up. It feels like they are always adding something new to the game. Be it a new mode, weapon, vehicle or ability. Just when you think the game is getting stale, they smack you with something new. A great example of this is what is happening as I write this review. I was kind of losing interest and not playing as much and then out of nowhere, they have this special Deadpool themed event. The game can be played without spending a penny and you will still have a great time. I though always buy the Battle Pass. I actually think that the Battle Pass is great value for money, especially when you consider just how many hours, I have spent playing the game. if you only play it once or twice a month, the Battle Pass is not for you.
I am not surprised that Fortnite Battle Royale is still standing as the biggest game in the world. I still have fun with this and play it a few times each week. Even more so when they are adding in a fun new event. I just cannot see this game going away as Epic keep adding fun new stuff to it.
