Summer Pick-up Beach!

Summer is the best time to hit the beach and forget about your worries – unless you’re the main character of Summer Pick-up Beach! Your goal in this game is as easy as can be: score with as many girls as you can in two weeks. Sounds relatively easy for a visual novel, right? Well, yes, it is – but that’s why the game’s so incredibly addictive.

Summer Pick-up Beach doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel. This is your usual RPG Maker title, complete with the same tileset we’ve seen to death in other games. However, what sets this game apart is how it gamifies the art of picking up girls. Essentially, it’s an extended cut of that beach scene in Persona 3, only without the dated humor and with more “explicit” outcomes.

Beach Vibes

The game kicks off straight away with your character arriving at a sunny beach, filled to the brim with fun, activities, and cute babes. Naturally, what draws your attention is the third option. But it won’t be as easy as just approaching them and asking them for some snu-snu. It’s never that easy.

All the girls need you to fulfill different tasks or reach certain levels before you can have an intimate encounter with them. Whether it’s helping them locate their phone strap or just increase your playfulness, you’ll need to keep a close eye on those meters and quests if you want to get laid before your vacation ends.

Against the Clock

As I mentioned before, you have only 14 days before your vacation comes to an end. That means you’ll need to make sure to spend your time wisely, and it also means you won’t be able to see everything the game has to offer in a single playthrough. Man, this is bringing me some serious Dead Rising flashbacks.

Don’t feel too pressured, though: the game is quite generous with time and most objectives are rather easy to complete. This is a porn game, after all. On that note, I think now’s time for us to discuss the only thing that matters in a game like this: how good the hentai content really is.

Turn Up the Heat

You’ll be pleased to know that the game features a gorgeous art style when outside of the usual RPG Maker tileset. Every character has amazing portraits that portray their… attributes quite well. Whether you’re ogling Mary’s “ballistics” or dreaming about Tsumugi’s gorgeous face, Summer Pick-up Beach has a girl for every taste.

And not just that – there’s also a healthy variety of “activities” you can do with the girls. No matter the kind of “stuff” you’re into, you can more than likely do it in this game. There’s a clear absence of the more niche fetishes, but you can easily overlook that with the sheer amount of high-quality content the game throws at you regularly.
