Knockout Master

I went into Knockout Master thinking (and kind of hoping if I am being honest) that it was going to be some kind of lewd beat-em-up. However, this is a lewd visual novel and while I will admit “another one???” was what I initially thought. This turned out to be a very pleasant surprise and a game that I had a lot of fun with. I have always been a sucker for a sports movie and that is what we kind of have here. Think of this as a lewd version of something like Rocky and you will be on the right track for what this is all about.

Be A Champion!

The story of Knockout Master is one of the best things that it has going on for it. It is about a man who wants to become a boxing champion and while he is very focused on that goal. He also has a life to live and various relationships that can help him or get in the way of his goal of being a champion. It is told very well and while it plays itself very seriously, I found myself very invested in the story here.

Being Your Own Man!

A huge reason as to why the story of Knockout Master clicked with me so well was that the game has some excellent characters. You also get to play the main character pretty much the way you want to. I do think there are some routes that seem a tad off for his character, but that is one of the best things about this game. We can all make this MC our own kind of guy, so you can have him be a bit more of a male slut if you want or you can be more focused on one special person.

Hitting The Animation Gym!

Knockout Master is one of those games that I played, left for a while, and then came back to when it got a big update. I have to say the leap in animation quality was very noticeable. The whole game has a great and realistic look to it and I liked the boxing action and felt it gave the game its own style. The characters look great and there is a decent amount of lewd content in the game too.

The Things You Do In Life Matter!

As Knockout Master is a lewd visual novel, you pretty much know what is going to be the deal here. However, I have to say that I was very surprised at just how many choices and things to do in the game there were. It always felt like a choice mattered in this game and that is something that many lewd visual novel games struggle with. I think it would be cool going back and playing through this a second time to see what else could go down if I changed my choices.

Pros:

• I liked how many layers there were to the MC
• I thought that the boxing storyline was fantastic
• The renders and the animations are very well done
• The choices you make in the game feel like they matter

Cons:

• I guess if you hate boxing, you may have a hard time getting into the story
• It can take a while to get through the game
