Togges

Togges is a truly original game, unlike so many others. In this game you’ll be stacking colorful blocks, but these blocks are also alive. When you stack them in the correct way, you’ll be able to solve puzzles that help you progress the main storyline. At first, stacking blocks may sound like a relatively normal game. After all, there are tons of blocks in games, and lots of stacking games. Even though it’s not common to have a storyline with a stacking game, they do exist. What then, makes Togges so unique?

That would be the emphasis on exploration, and the sandbox style approach to the game. Your character is a little robot that delivers the living cubes to the world. You were given the mission by a silly and fun-loving King who wants to save the galaxy from being destroyed.

Following this mission, you visit different planets and drop off these little cubes to try and help.

Cute graphics

The graphics for this game are crisp and clear, featuring a tiny robot that looks a lot like a Roomba. The animations for togge delivery are smooth, and the game appears to use physics when creating the game.

Exploring the Usefulness of Blocks

These living blocks come in different colors. Each colored block does something a little bit different. You’ll have to fly around dropping these blocks where you think they might be useful. This isn’t always as easy as it sounds.

Some blocks are too weak to be useful or will be destroyed if you use them to solve a puzzle. Other times a block has a particular trait that might be useful. Red blocks, for example, have fire resistance.

Lots of Content

The game is also huge, in and of its own right. The developers claim that there are dozens of hours of gameplay. This doesn’t just include puzzles, but also hilarious skits. The game features a wide variety of characters who help flesh out the galaxy. The game feels like a crazy combination between Super Mario Odyssey and a Rabbids game. Although it’s a bit hard to draw comparisons with such an original game, this fusion is about as close as you will get.

Set to release in December

The game is set to be released December 7th by Thunderful. Thunderful has been producing games since 1997 and has released a huge collection of games over the years. While none of the games are world famous, they have had some more popular ones in the past. Hopefully Togges will be a game that helps them ascend to a truly great game developer.
