Tower of Waifus 2

When I heard that Tower of Waifus 2 was coming out I was very excited. I played the hell out of the first game which was a match three puzzle game with a lot of lewdness. In all honesty, I was just expecting the exact same game, but with some different waifus for me to have some fun with. So, I was very impressed when I realized that the developer had done a 180 and changed the game up entirely for the sequel.

The Demon Lord

In the first game, we had the Dark Lord, and this time around we have the Demon Lord. The story is kind of Tower of Waifus 2 is kind of all over the place. From what I can tell it takes place thousands of years after the first game and you are the ancestor of the person who sealed away the great evil.

Well, The Demon Lord is back and he is mad as hell! He has brought back his demon army and they have kidnapped all of the hot waifus! If he has kidnapped all of the waifus, how are you going to get laid? Well, you need to head to his castle and climb the tower, rescuing the waifus as you go.

Like Working In A Stock Room

I played the original game a great deal and thought that its match three gameplay had a lot of charm to it. As I said in the introduction, I did kind of expect, Tower of Waifus 2 to offer the same kind of gameplay. Instead, they have changed it up and what we have here is a Sokoban Puzzle style of game.

The idea is that you need to move boxes around to make your way to the exit. There are traps, enemies, items, and so on that, you will have to be aware of. Sometimes you may need to grab a key, other times, you may need to activate some kind of trap to put an enemy in their place. It is the kind of thing that sounds easy, but it is way tricker than you would think. There is a lot of trial and error in a game like this and I like the way you have to really think outside of the box to figure out how to get through each of the levels.

If Zelda Was Lewd

This is a great looking game. Clearly, the portraits of the ladies here are a real highlight of Tower of Waifus 2. There is a great selection of girls for you to save here and I love how the girls are hot and sexy, but they are not too sleazy if you know what I am saying. The artists have truly done a great job here and if you like big boobed anime girls, you will love the character designs here.

The actual Sokoban Puzzle portion of the game has a very interesting kind of art style. At first, I thought I was looking at a dungeon from The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past. The reason I say this is base this game has a very SNES Zelda kind of presentation to it. I am not saying that is bad, far from it, I think it is pretty damn awesome actually. My only gripe is that the enemy designs can be a tad uninspired. A Demon Lord should have better minions than bees!

Pros:

• Plenty of waifus for you to rescue
• I liked how each puzzle made you think before you make a move
• The artwork in the game for the girls is fantastic
• It is the kind of game that is way more addictive and challenging than you would think

Cons:

• Not sure what the heck is going on with the story
• Some of the enemy designs are uninspired
