The erotic game community is a varied and vast one, with all types of games and different genres available. Since there isn't a single triple-A developer working on these types of games, it's up to the very community to develop and support these games. Trap Quest is one of those indies developed games that tackle the erotic scene in a different playstyle.

Since most of the adult game industry is completely indie and fan-made there are tons of low-quality games out there. Many of them being repetitive and boring, it can be tough to actually find a game that's both fun to play and in the erotic theme. But the main idea when developing Trap Quest was to be both a good erotic game and a fun title, so let's talk about it.

About the game

Trap Quest mixes up elements from the text/based adventure games and rogue-like mechanics. The game starts when our character wins a prize to be the first person to try out a new virtual reality game created by Nintendolls aiming to turn the player into a bimbo. Only if the player's ability to beat the game before the bimbofication takes is complete it's allowed to go free

Is text enough?

Trap Quest is a text-based adventure, similar to Corruption of Champions in many ways. The engine is different, and it's more deeply developed, with more choices, a much smarter engine, and more varied situations. You can customize your character lot, even choosing if you're male or female.

Not only can you choose your sex but also your proportions are customizable if you know what we mean. There are tons of commands available, and the game is challenging. There are different difficulty points out there and they also depend on the abilities you develop for your character.

For some people, text alone may not be stimulating enough, and that's why there's some art involved now to help get your imagination running. This may be a negative aspect for the most purist fans of text-based adventures, but it makes it better for the newcomers to the genre.

Review

This is a great title for anyone interested in getting into text adventures, and anyone who's looking for a good quality erotic game. They balanced nicely the sexual themes, going into various fetishist territories, but not going far enough to make some players uncomfortable. There's something for every taste in this title. If you liked Corruption of Champions, you'll definitely love this one too.

• Graphics and Visuals: This game has little to say about the visual aspect, there's nice art to it, and the overall visual is clean enough. It's not, however, its strong point.

• Gameplay: Just as in any text adventure game, the gameplay is everything, and this one has a nice one. There are tons and tons of commands available, a lot of customization and different paths to choose from. The deep customization makes up for a different adventure in every playthrough. Developer Aika has stated that the purpose of this game was to make a game that's "actually fun to play", and thankfully it is.
