Biing!: Sex, Intrigue and Scalpels is a real classic when it comes to lewd games and it is kind of mind blowing that this game was actually originally released over 25 years ago! I thought it would be fun to fire the game up (as it is now available for modern computers) and see how it holds up and if it can match the kind of stuff we have going on today when it comes to lewd video games.
You know the classic management sim, Theme Hospital? Well, that is kind of what we have going on here with Biing!: Sex, Intrigue, and Scalpels. The idea is that we are running things at Brainworm Memorial and it is not a pretty job, but someone has to do it. We are a bit of a pervy manager though so our staff having big boobs and being on the naughty side is certainly something that we are all about. I think the idea of keeping a hospital running and the staff happy is a very good one and it has a really wicked sense of humor about everything.
Does a 3.5 Inch Floppy Measure Up?
One thing we have to talk about with Biing!: Sex, Intrigue, and Scalpels is that there were two versions of this classic game available. The original was a 3.5 inch floppy disc game and it had some of the most amazing and risqué lewd art of its day. However, when the CD drive invasion took over, the game was re-released and they added in some fun lewd live action scenes, but many people felt like they toned the rest of the game down. Be sure to check what version of the game you are playing, they are both good, but I do prefer the more uncensored art in the original.
Managing A Sexy Hospital Is Not All Fun And Games
The gameplay of Biing!: Sex, Intrigue, and Scalpels I have to say is probably the weakest aspect of it. Remember how I compared it to Theme Hospital? Well, instead of being in 3D where you can move around your hospital and interact with pretty much everything. This game is done via a series of menus that you have to click around. It is not bad or anything like that, but it lacks the wow factor you get from something like Theme Hospital. There is a lot to keep you busy here though. You have to manage patients by diagnosing them and treating them. Buy new equipment, maintain the hospital, and also deal with the wacky staff that you have hired as well.
Stay For The Art
Visually, I think that Biing!: Sex, Intrigue, and Scalpels actually holds up really well. We have some fantastic lewd art here that for its day was very risqué. I still think that it is a lot of fun to look at now and I can see why this is a game that many people who played it back in the day had a lot of fun with. I even love the CD version with its cheesy (but still kind of sexy) nurses trying to be all sexy. I just wish the game had a 3D overall style to it like Theme Hospital rather than the menu based system it has.
Look, Biing!: Sex, Intrigue, and Scalpels is a real classic and I am so glad that I spent time with the game. I will say that even though I feel that the original release had a bit more lewd artwork to it, I do feel that the CD release is the better “game”. I had a lot of fun with this one, even if it is a bit on the slow paced side, I did have a smile on my face the whole time I was playing this and when I have some more time, I would love to play this again.
