After being imprisoned after going to war with the succubi, the leader of the warlocks was defeated and his soul was imprisoned, and he was left to rot for all eternity. Millenia later, a faithful servant of the warlock releases his master, and although he is now weakened, this is the chance for the warlock to regain his power and get his revenge against those who imprisoned him.

Claim Your Revenge

Elewder is a top-down action game that has similar game mechanics to The Binding of Isaac and Enter the Gungeon. Your objective is to pass throughout each floor and defeat its boss as you make your way to fight the succubi, and reclaim your throne.

Each floor will have more enemies, and they will also be stronger, making the game progressively harder. And in case you die, every run is going to be randomly generated, making it that runs are always different.

To be able to survive you will need to pay close attention to the enemies’ attacks, so you need to be able to dodge and attack your enemies when you see an opening. There are also different skills that can be used to help you survive, and as you play, you will slowly start to regain your powers and get closer to being as powerful as you were before. Not only will you slowly get more skills, but you will also get better at the game.

As you defeat your enemies, you will receive shards. And by collecting a certain amount of specific shards, you then will be able to use them to summon enemies and use them however you see fit. Reclaiming the throne is not your only objective, as you also wish to get revenge on those who took everything away from you, so when summoning your enemies, you will be able to make them do whatever it is you wish.

Overall

Elewder is still in early access so that players can test out the game, and work together with the developers so that when the game releases officially, it will be extremely polished. There is still no set release date, but it is set to come out sometime in 2021.

The full version of the game is going to have more spells and items for players to use, there will also be unlockable characters, different types of rooms, secrets for players to find, a home where players can build and customize to their liking, and plenty of more content that will be revealed when the full game releases.

It is important to know that Elewder has explicit sexual content, so if you’re looking for a game with rogue-like elements like Hades, that has a little extra to it, then be sure to check the game, and if you wish to know when it comes out, you can add it to your wishlist on Steam. For now, the game is only to be available on Windows.
