With a name like Cute Honey: Bunny Girl, one wouldn’t expect a game as strategically deep and mechanically complex as what Lovely Games have accomplished with this title. Blending casual strategy gameplay with lewd images is something not many developers would try to do, but it somehow works exceptionally well in this game.
As is to be suspected from the title, the game features its fair share of naughty content, but it certainly isn’t the only thing to see here. Cute Honey: Bunny Girl manages to break away from the usual stereotypes of eroge games with its surprisingly complex gameplay.
Lewd Strategy
At its core, Cute Honey: Bunny Girl is a casualized version of Final Fantasy Tactics, complete with a similar color scheme for the UI and everything. However, as soon as you notice the overly sexualized characters, every comparison with Final Fantasy stops being valid.
The game takes place in an alternate modern-day world where a great war between humans and succubi separated the two species for good. However, not every succubus agrees with this division, especially not Elise.
As the guardian of humanity, the player will have to do everything in their power to stop Elise from infiltrating human society. Things get complicated once Elise falls in love with a singer, making her desire to mix with humans all the more powerful.
Stop the Succubus
Each level in Cute Honey: Bunny Girl revolves around the player stopping Elise from progressing. To do this, they’ll have to use a variety of items that are designed to lower the succubus’ powers.
Most of the gameplay resembles a simple tower defense game. Elise will spawn in one end of the map, with a clearly defined path that she’ll follow no matter what. Players will then use items to slow her down, eventually debilitating her enough to defeat her.
Unfortunately, the gameplay never evolves too much beyond that. In the end, this is an eroge game with a tower defense game skin plastered over it and not the other way around.
As a result, Cute Honey: Bunny Girl ends up being a repetitive affair that only the more dedicated players will enjoy – or those with an intense fascination with cute anime girls.
Girls and Succubi
Of course, this wouldn’t be an eroge game without a healthy dose of scantily clad women and sexually explicit images. If that’s the sort of thing you’re looking for, then you’ll find it here.
The art quality is superb: each character is very well designed and the anime aesthetic fits the rest of the game pretty well. Visual quality during gameplay sections can be somewhat disappointing, however, mostly due to the terribly subpar animations.
All in all, Cute Honey: Bunny Girl is a nice little game that isn’t ashamed by its risque themes. If anything, it’s nice to see eroge games being more than just a slideshow in disguise, and this is a title that features more than enough gameplay for casual players to enjoy.
As repetitive as it may be, Cute Honey: Bunny Girl is an enjoyable lewd game with a good amount of gameplay and exceptionally good art.

Game Reviews
This game is the fourth installment in the Cute Honey series, but is the first to change up the usual gameplay. While first games were puzzlers, Cute Honey: Bunny Girl is a tower defense game. This is a welcome change. The first games were gentle and relaxing, but almost a little too slow.
While Bunny Girl is by no means a fast-paced game, the change of pace is enough to keep you engaged between scenes.
Although the game play is a nice change of pace, the Cute Honey series was never really about the gaming part. The true experience is the art, shown in sexy scenes upon the completion of each section. This is where the game really shines. Cute Honey: Bunny Girl isn’t a long or hard game, but it’s fun enough and beautiful to watch.
The Story
In this game, you play the guardian of humanity, a human sent to protect the world from succubus. The succubus were cast into the underworld after being defeated in a war, and it’s your job to make sure they stay there. Enter Elise, a succubus who works at a bar. She meets a singer and can’t resist him. In each level, she is trying to approach the stage, and it’s your job to use objects in the room to weaken her as she progresses.
Short, Polished Experience
Let’s face it, many adult games are filled with bugs. It’s very rare that a game can have it all, beautiful artwork, reasonable gameplay, and few to no bugs. Bunny Girl is a very short game, with most people completing it in 1-2 hours. This is not a fault of the game, but more because the game is there to tie the story and visuals together, not so much to be an actual game. It’s very light entertainment, with very easy gameplay. Despite being short and easy, the game is fun and the artwork is next level. This is a great experience for anyone who just wants to relax and enjoy some well-made visuals.
Not Very Replayable
One thing to consider when purchasing this game is that it does not have a gallery or difficulty settings. This does not make the game bad, but it does give you very little reason to replay the game unless you want to see the visuals again.
Since this has a relatively low price point that’s not terrible, but you may want to buy it in a bundle with the other Cute Honey’s if you are looking to spend a weekend playing similar games.
This is probably one of my favorite h-games so far. The artwork is lovely, and the game is polished. Elise is adorable, and the whole game generally works together for a polished experience. While it is not very long, if you’re looking for a fun and relaxing game to keep you busy for an hour, this is a great choice.
Pros:
- Elise is too cute
- Beautiful artwork
- Relaxing gameplay
- Few to no bugs
Cons:
- It’s a little short and not very replayable
