Personal Study

It takes a lot to blow me away these days, but that is exactly what Personal Study managed to do. This is a full 3D lewd game that mixes exploration, puzzle solving, a solid narrative, and getting railed by interdimensional beings together! It all works really well, and I knew going in that this was an early access game, but it ran nice and smoothly, and there was a decent amount of content here. This is some very impressive stuff and easily one of the lewd games that I am most looking forward to seeing develop over the next year or so.

A Magical Kind Of Setting

The backdrop for Personal Study is something that I think is very cool. We play the role of a young elvish woman called Evi, and she is a student at the University of Arcane Arts. The idea is that Evi is a very curious kind of character, and she learns about a special part of the university that was closed for many years, and no one really talks about what happened there. Being the curious type that she is, Evi decides to go and explore and find out what this hidden area of the university is all about.

Curiosity Banged The Elf!

Due to Evi having a curious nature, she soon discovers the secret of this hidden area, and we also find out why the game is called Personal Study! Turns out that this part of the university was used to study ancient rituals that would summon demons and beings from other dimensions, and now Evi is trying to uncover all of the secrets. This is such a cool premise for a story, but as of me writing this, I do feel that the story needs fleshing out a bit, which I am sure it will be, and I am genuinely excited to see where it all goes.

Learning As You Go

This is a full 3D game, and for the most part, Evi controls really well. Personal Study has you exploring this hidden part of the university, and you will come across different puzzles that you will need to solve. These range from logic puzzles to puzzles where you have to use the various magical abilities that Evi has in order to solve them. For example, two of the earlier puzzles are one where you need to move tiles on the floor so that the energy can flow, and another where you need to drag planets into their right place. The gameplay is solid, and I actually think that there is more than enough to expand upon here. The trouble is that there is no hint or guidance system in the game; you are fully left on your own to figure things out, and sometimes, you feel like you are just wandering around without any clue in regards to what you need to do next.

The Very Dark Arts!

Personal Study is an awesome looking game, Evi is a super hot elf, and you can make her even hotter as you unlock various costumes for her as you progress through the game. The whole game has this dark and moody vibe to it, think of something like Baldur’s Gate 3 or Diablo 3, but not quite as demonic, and you will have an idea. The XXX content is great, you use these summoning rituals that will summon these other characters and then you get to select the right sex scene. These are fully animated, and they look great, nice smooth animations, and while she is banging demons, they did not look so gross that it was a turn off. For an early access game, this already looks absolutely fantastic.

Pros:

• Evi is an awesome character, and she is very hot
• The puzzles were fun to solve, and there is a good mix of them
• The story and setting are very intriguing
• This game has some nicely animated sex scenes

Cons:

• Some kind of hint system would have been nice
• As of writing, the game is still in early access

Personal Study is an erotic adventure game from developer ArcaneSpoon77 in which you have to solve logic puzzles.

Plot

The player wants to learn the magical arts from a wise sorcerer-mentor. Today, you'll have to train a very pretty elf girl in a tight white dress. All classes take place in the library and begin with finding the right grimoire and learning spells.

Gameplay

When you're done with the theoretical part, it's time to get down to the real challenges. In a special arena, your beauty must defeat a monster - a demon or a vampire. In your free time, you can explore the ancient building of the abandoned library, paying attention to the mysterious messages on the walls. It's not really clear why the game is rated 18+ - except for the blindingly white panties of the pixie you won't see anything dirty here. At least not yet.

Pros:

• Various puzzles

Cons:

• The main problem in optimization - the character moves slowly, making choppy, unrealistic movements. As the game is still in development, let's hope that the authors will improve the technical indicators of their project
