Luna in the Tavern is a XXX visual novel game that I have had a great deal of fun with over the last few days. Before I get into the actual game, I have to tell you about how it is funded. You can play the game for free and you can actually see quite a lot of the game for free including some awesome XXX scenes. However, a great deal of the game is also locked behind the Patreon paywall so that is something to keep in mind.

Can’t A Girl Just Drink At The Bar?

As the game suggests, Luna in the Tavern takes place mainly in a bar. The main character is Luna (along with Mirana) Luna is sitting at the bar, having drinks when she is constantly approached by dudes asking her questions. There are different paths that the story can take and the creator has been pretty good in regards to updating the game.

The writing is quite clever and witty and while no doubt Luna and Mirana are two smoking hot characters. Due to the way they are written, you do actually like them as characters as well as thinking they are hot.

Drink Or Don’t Drink?

Most of what you will be doing in Luna in the Tavern is reading the story, but you do get to make choices. For example, you often get the choice of drink or do not drink. Drinking can increase your alcohol number and also make you a bit wilder, but you can also pass out. When you make a choice, it can lead to a different XXX CG.

Some of the choices will be highlighted and this means that they are only available if you support the game via Patreon. Some people go mad about this online, but I actually think that they do let you see quite a bit of the game for free, and then it is up to you if you want to pay to see the rest.

Luna, The Woman Of My Dreams

It is clear to see from just one screenshot that Luna in the Tavern is a fantastic looking game. Luna and Mirana are two of the sexiest looking characters I have seen in a visual novel game in quite some time. The XXX scenes are very well done and there is just enough animation in these to keep things interesting which I always like to see.

The animated style of the game is very appealing and even the backgrounds of the tavern and the other locations are done very well. The more I think about it, this is probably one of my favorite XXX visual novel games in terms of the visuals that I have played in quite a while.

I know that the paywall this game has is a stumbling block for some, but I really do not see it as a negative. Many other games have a free to play model and I consider the free portion of Luna in the Tavern to be like a free demo. You play that and if you like it, you can then pay to get the full experience. I had a great time with this and feel that the game is of a high enough quality that throwing them a few bucks to see it all is more than reasonable.
