I have played many types of visual novels over the years, but few have a level of polish like Sisters Natsu no Saigo no Hi does. This is a game that may be a bit on the linear side and the story may not exactly hit all the points that it sets up. However, the breathtaking art that this game offers was more than enough to keep me playing all the way until the very end.

Why Am I Here?

This is a game that is all about sex, but I do appreciate that Sisters Natsu no Saigo no Hi is trying to tell an interesting story. The thing is the game nearly succeeds! The main character awakens in a house with two sisters, Chika and Hakura. You are staying in this house with them and their smoking hot mother (who leaves way too early).

The story is told in an interesting way, we get to see the characters interact, but we do also get flashbacks that bring attention to a bit of a mystery that is going on. The premise is certainly very interesting, but the game never nails it and by the end, I was left with way more questions than I had answers.

How Did They Make This?

I am not exaggerating when I say that Sisters Natsu no Saigo no Hi looks better than some so-called higher end anime movies that I have seen. I would love to see some kind of making-of documentary about this game so I can see exactly how they made this as the level of animation is movie-like.

There are many sex scenes in the game, but sadly only one with the mom. Still, what is on offer here is great, and as crazy as this may sound, the sex scenes are a bit outnumbered in contrast to the story. I know, I know we play lewd games for the sex, but the sex scenes are stringed together with a very thin thread.

Just Go Along For The Ride

There is not much in the way of gameplay on offer here in Sisters Natsu no Saigo no Hi. You just go along for the ride and let the story unfold in front of you. I got the impression that they held back on filling in major plot points so that the player can try and come up with their own conclusion. I have actually had a fair bit of fun reading different theories as to what people actually think the deal here is.

I have to say that as an actual game or even as a visual novel story, Sisters Natsu no Saigo no Hi is not going to blow you away. There are a few breadcrumbs of an interesting story here, but the story never gets out of second gear. Also, the game starts off really slow which may cause some people to lose interest. However, this is one of the best-looking visual novels that I have ever had the pleasure to play. It is worth playing just to see how good the game looks and moves.
