Manami the Housewife’s Secret Job is a lewd adventure game that is a little tricky to play as the game translation is all over the place. There are a few fan translations out there so be sure to give a few of them a try to make sure you get the best experience possible. I had a lot of fun with the game and I would recommend that for those of you who are into games where you play as a wife that is exploring her sexual side and getting into all kinds of naughty stuff.

Happy Wife, Happy Life, But A Slutty Wife!

The story of Manami the Housewife’s Secret Job from what I have gathered is that we play as a young wife who lives with her husband in a relatively normal kind of town. Now, the thing here is that the husband has a job, but the wife just does her thing like clean the house and do her wife stuff if you get what I am saying. However, the wife wants a little bit more out of life and she ends up going around the town and getting into all kinds of sexy situations as she explores her lewd side.

Who Made Who?

Ok, so I used this as an excuse to drop an AC/DC reference, but as they are awesome you should be cool with it. Anyway, Manami the Housewife’s Secret Job is a game made by a Japanese developer and I have yet to find an “official” translation for the game. However, there are a couple of fan translations out there, but neither one of them is perfect. I am not saying that they are bad, but I just feel like this story needed a bit more whimsy and humor about it, I think if they had gone more down that route, it would have made things much better.

A Naughty Chibi Wife

What initially drew me to Manami the Housewife’s Secret Job was the visuals. This is a really fun looking game and while I will be the first to admit that it has your typical RPG Maker style about it. I feel that the visuals and the overall style and tone of the game do have a ton of personality. I was able to fumble my way through things and I always felt like I was seeing some fun lewd content. You get some great XXX pixel art sex scenes, but you also have these large portraits as well that show off our slutty naughty wife in more detail. It may lack the wow factor, but what is here is fun and I do like what they have done.

Following Your Heart

I would say that the gameplay of Manami the Housewife’s Secret Job leans more towards being a lewd adventure game than it does a full on lewd RPG. There are some stats that you can work on, but for the most part, I just followed these hearts that were on the screen, and that always seemed to lead me to where I needed to be. I think this was a clever game design move as it means that the game is near impossible to get lost in. I had fun going from one quirky XXX scenario to the next and as your sexual stats do grow as you play, it does also have a bit of progression as far as the gameplay goes.

Pros:

• I liked the visual style of the game
• It is always pointing you in the right direction
• There are plenty of XXX scenes

• Finding the right translation can be tough
• The story could have done with a bit more humor
