Once Upon a Time in Dream Town

Once Upon a Time in Dream Town is a bit of a game changer in the world of lewd visual novels. The reason I say this is because this is a game that is made with real actors. The developer claims this is the first time it has been done and I actually think that they might be right! It is very impressive what they have done here and I am sure that many other lewd game developers will see what this game is doing and want to try and make a game like this themselves.

On A Serious Note

As well as being brave with the way the game looks, Once Upon a Time in Dream Town is also brave with its story as well. Elina is the main character and she is a great student and trying to do her best. However, she also needs money and this leads her to take a job where she has to work out with a guy who has some emotional problems and who has not left his house in many years. It is quite a serious type of story and not one that is played for laughs.

A Keen Eye

The main reason that people are going to come and give Once Upon a Time in Dream Town a try is because of the fact that the game is made with real actors! I have not played a lewd game like this before and at first, I must admit that I was taken a little bit aback by it as it did seem strange. However, I must say that I do think you get a better connection to the characters when they look like this. There is not a ton of lewd content here, mainly boobs and some lingerie style shots, but I do think that there could be more XXX content once the game is done. There is also no animation here, but the quality of the photos is quite excellent and the photographer clearly knew what they were doing.

No Motion In The Ocean

The gameplay of Once Upon a Time in Dream Town is your typical visual novel stuff. Most of what you will be doing is reading the story and that is fine as you expect that with a visual novel. You get to make a few choices here and there which will move the story in a particular direction, but you do not have as much control over the story as you do in other visual novel games. You can probably get through everything that is here in just one sitting as that is what I ended up doing.

Pros:

• Those boobs are real!
• The story is quite serious
• You still get to make some choices in the story

• There is not actually a great deal to the game as of yet
• Some people may be disappointed with the lack of hardcore XXX content
