The newest game from anCHOR Inc. Project MIKHAIL is an action game where players get to control a mecha and use it to fight against an alien invasion that is threatening to annihilate all mankind. These aliens are known as BETA, and among them, there are giant ones, incredibly fast ones, and even some with the ability to shoot lasers. So it will take different strategies to be able to defeat all of the BETA.

Protect Mankind

To be able to fight against the BETA aliens, you will pilot a TSF, a tactical surface fighter that is equipped with different types of equipment to be able to take on whatever threat you are faced with. The BETA thrives in their overwhelming numbers, so in each fight, you will have to face off against a large number of enemies.

These fights can take place at different times and places, so you must be prepared to face the BETA in the darkness of the night, and you will even fight them under heavy weather. You will need to be prepared to fight them at any given condition, even when they don’t seem to be in your favor. After all, all of humanity depends on whether you can win against the BETA.

As you progress, to be able to better face your enemies, after every mission that you complete, you will be rewarded with new equipment for your TSF. With this, you can customize your mecha, and make him become an even deadlier threat to the aliens. There is plenty of options for equipment, so you can customize your mecha to a combat style that fits better with what you’re looking for.

The game combat seems to be fast-paced and filled with different types of weapons that you can equip for your TSF. So for fans of games like NieR Automata and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Project MIKHAIL might be a game for you to keep an eye on.

A New Addition

Project Mikhail takes place in the same universe as the other games in the Muv-Luv saga, a series of games that is well-known for having an amazing story, and interesting characters. However, other titles focus more on its story, while it seems that Project Mikhail will focus more on the action.

We are still not sure what to expect in regards to the game story, but seeing a Muv-Luv game that is not a visual novel opens up new possibilities to the future of the saga.

The game is set to be released sometime in October of 2021, and you can already add it to your wishlist on Steam so that when the game is released, you will be notified. If you’re new to the Muv-Luv universe, you can play all of its other titles on Steam, and you can even buy a bundle that contains all of the games, and even a bundle with the manga collection.
