Sequel Blight

Today I want to talk to you about the game, Sequel Blight which is part of a long running series of erotic RPGs. I will admit that it was the Japanese version of the game I started playing, but there is an English patch out there so make sure you get that and are not a moron like I was and try to fumble your way through the Japanese version of the game. It is one of the better lewd RPGs that I have played and one of the longest and most in-depth ones too.

Fem Dom Is King

Ok, so as I said I started playing the Japanese version of Sequel Blight so the story was pretty much lost on me if I am being honest with you. Why do I not just go and start the whole thing over again? Well, I have put in a considerable amount of time into the game and I have heard that it can be as long as 20 hours! That is pretty damn long for a lewd RPG. Anyway, from what I have experienced, female domination plays a big part in the story and I am certainly down with that!

Not Your Typical Lewd RPG!

We have all played many so-called lewd RPGs that are very light on the RPG elements, but that is not the case here with, Sequel Blight. This is a very impressive lewd RPG that has some solid gameplay mechanics that are very similar to what you would get in a “normal” RPG. What I liked was how you can really get hands on with your characters in terms of their job, class, and tinkering with their skill tree. Trying to come up with that perfect team that is ideal for your playstyle is a lot of fun. The overall gameplay is that of your typical RPG, it is played from an overhead point of view and you have many quests to do, characters to talk to and items to find.

Prepare For Combat

The best aspect of the gameplay in, Sequel Blight has to be the combat. The combat in this game is not easy and has a very classic JRPG vibe about it all. You have to manage your health and items near perfectly to defeat some of the higher-level bosses. While I would say that it is a very challenging game, it never feels unfair. Once I started playing the game in English, I got a much better grasp of things and found that really learning about how long your buffs and de-buffs you use on the enemies last is key to winning some of the more challenging encounters.

That Hardcore Style

As far as the presentation of Sequel Blight goes, I think that it is very impressive. I will say that the overall game does have a kind of “RPG Maker” vibe about it, but I do not mean that in a negative way. The sprites all look great and things are clean, detailed, and well designed. It is a very stylish kind of game and it has a style that I really do like. The XXX content in the game is very well done and it has a nice selection of fetishes here. It even gives you a warning if you do not want to see the male and femboy content.

Pros:

• It is a very long adventure to go on
• I loved the overall style of the game
• It has a fem-dom twist to it that you may really like
• I liked how deep and challenging the combat was

Cons:

• It has a very steep learning curve and demands a lot from the player
• Getting the English translation patch to work was a pain in the butt!
