Today we are taking a closer look at Sutekina kanojo no tsukurikata. This is a visual novel game that is being released in many different places. It is a game that is made in Japan and the translation over on Steam is a tad on the weird side. However, the whole premise of this story seems rather interesting and I feel that it is a visual novel game that those who are into this kind of thing need to keep a close eye on.
I Am So Into You!
The story is about two young women. Sutekina kanojo no tsukurikata is a story about a young lady called, Sumire. She is kind of socially awkward, loves the internet, and is just a tad on the strange side. In many ways, she reminds me of an even more awkward version of Jess from New Girl.
Sumire has a major crush on a girl called, Nazuna who is much more confident. She is very nice, has a heart of gold and he is the person who Sumire really wants to connect to. The story is about the two of them becoming close and as you would expect there are different outcomes that the story can end up at.
Aces And Eights
As you play through Sutekina kanojo no tsukurikata, you will get to make various decisions as you go. These will be what shapes the story, the relationship between Sumire and Nuzana, and of course the ending. There are eight different endings in the game and the choices that you make will decide how the relationship ends up. The “unstable” and crazy nature of the main character can lead to some pretty wild conclusions. If you have any experience with visual novel games, you will feel at home here.
Bringing Out The Emotion
The visuals in the game are fantastic. They have a wonderful artist who worked wonders with this game. On the Steam page, it mentions this Emotional Motion Technology that the game makes use of. What this means is that the characters are very expressive. Watch the trailer and you will be amazed at these facial animations that really do work wonders to make the characters seem more real.
The artwork in general is just great and it makes the relationship blossom even more so. The sound in the game is great and features some fantastic Japanese voice acting. While the voice acting is great, I do wish it had an English dub, but perhaps that could come at some point.
While it can be hard to gauge exactly what the heck Sutekina kanojo no tsukurikata is all about. I think that this is a solid visual novel game and one that I think is all the better for focusing on just a couple of characters. The writing is quite clever (even with the translation issues) and I do feel that they let you know the characters very well. If you are a gamer who enjoys visual novel games, I highly recommend that you take a closer look at this one.
