The Two Sides of Love

If you want something fun and light, The Two Sides of Love is the lewd game for you. If you want something that is deep, engaging, and ultimately makes sense, you are not going to find that here. I can see this being a game that people either like or hate, I happen to fall into the like category and I liked it enough that I have been checking back over the last couple of weeks to see if the new update has dropped.

The Italian Stallion!

One of the main things that pulled me towards The Two Sides of Love was not the fact that this is a lewd visual novel, but that the main character we play as is a boxer. I do not know why, but that just really appealed to me. While we were a hotshot boxer, our life is pretty much in the toilet as we lost everything and our ex-wife disappeared and now we are left trying to reestablish a relationship with our three “cute” daughters.

Reading The Room

I think the main reason that some people failed to click with The Two Sides of Love is that when you read the description of the game it almost sounds like you are going to be playing some kind of mystery thriller! While there is a bit of mystery here, this game is one that is best played not taking it too seriously as I got the impression that this is played for laughs as it is so ridiculous and makes so little sense, you kind of have to just roll with it. However, on the other side of the coin, I can see why some people may be turned off by the way the story is told.

Your Typical Guy!

Apart from being a shredded former boxer that looks like he could give The Rock a beating, the protagonist in The Two Sides of Love is your typical MC in a lewd game! By this, I mean that the gameplay here is pretty much you just trying to bang anything that has a set of boobs! It is very basic lewd visual novel stuff where you spend most of your time reading the story. I will say that I wish the choices happened a bit more frequently than they do as there are some parts of the game that can be slow and when the story does not make a ton of sense, this can lead to you losing interest.

A Face Only A Mother Could Love!

Ok, so I am probably going to sound a bit mean here, but the three daughters in The Two Sides of Love are some of the least attractive girls that I have seen in a lewd visual novel in quite some time. They are not “ugly” however, they just look very weird and if the story turned out to involve aliens and these girls were alien/human hybrids I would not be shocked! The game though to its credit does dish out the XXX stuff at a fairly decent rate and the animations are pretty smooth for the most part. It is just a shame that we are dealing with some real butterface girls here!

Pros:

• I liked the odd story that was being told
• I do not know why, but I got a kick out of playing as a boxer
• The story does try and have a bit of mystery
• I was happy that the lewd scenes were animated

Cons:

• The female characters are not attractive at all, bag over the head material here!
• No doubt, some people will not be able to get into the story as it is rather strange

The Two Sides of Love is an erotic visual novel that tells the strange story of a former boxer's family. His career has taken a downturn, his wife has left and taken his very young daughters with her. It would seem that the life of the protagonist is getting worse every day and there is not even a chance for a normal existence at all. However, the ex-wife returns and leaves her grown daughters in the protagonist's care before disappearing again.
