One Stormy Night

On a stormy night, out of nowhere, a huge sinkhole opens in the middle of Whit Anderson’s farm, and his dog Casey ends up getting too close and falls into it. Whit sees this, and without any fear, dives into the sinkhole to save his dog. However, he ends up finding himself in a strange place, where his past, present, and future seem to manifest like dreams in front of him, and as he watches the story of his life before his very eyes, he discovers that he can change it.

Whit is given an opportunity that many wish for, and that is the power to change his past. You as the player will have to make choices involving different people that are important in Whit’s life, like his parents, brother, and even his childhood crush. Some decisions will be harder to make, and the game takes on serious issues and has an overall heavy tone. There are some light-hearted moments in it so that players won’t feel tense the whole time. Where The Heart Is is similar to the Life is Strange games, where players get to control the fate of the main character, and all of them will have consequences in the future.

This game is story-driven, and you will spend most of your time walking around and interacting with the characters. When talking to some characters, you will need to make game-changing decisions, so be sure to explore everything you can before doing that, so that you have as much information as possible.
