Tokyo College Girls: The Nerd & Queen Bees

I was pretty excited to finally get the chance to spend some quality time with Tokyo College Girls: The Nerd & Queen Bees. I had been waiting for this one to drop and when it eventually did, I actually played it the day it came out. I love a good college setting, there is just something about playing as a horny college dude trying to get laid that appeals to me! What they have done here is kind of fun, but I just think with a little more work and a bit of a spit shine, this has the potential to be great.

Heading To The Big City

The premise of Tokyo College Girls: The Nerd & Queen Bees is that we play as a young guy who lives out in the sticks and he is sick of his country way of life and wants to be a big city guy. He is going to Tokyo for college and he sees this as his chance to change his whole personality and style and become the big city guy that he has dreamed of and become a hit with the ladies, but there is a twist, he is a virgin and he has to get laid by the end of freshman year.

The Virgin Pact

Apparently, the story at the college Tokyo College Girls: The Nerd & Queen Bees takes place in is that if you do not lose your virginity in your first year, you will never lose it during your whole college stay! This leads to us being willing to do whatever it takes to bang the three chicks that we end up making friends with. I really do think that they have something here with the story, but the translation is rough. Not so much rough in that it does not make any sense, but rough in that it seems like it was translated literarily word for word, and in doing that it is very “matter of fact” and it makes it so the characters lack some spark or any real personality if you get what I am saying.

Getting Into Their Pants

I truly do think that they have something with the gameplay here in Tokyo College Girls: The Nerd & Queen Bees. You have three girls who are your “friends” and you want to take your friendship to the next level. You do this by hacking into their social media feeds so you can get to know them better and thus kind of manipulate your interactions with them to make them like you more. The hacking mini-game is very basic, but it at least adds a little bit of excitement to the gameplay. You have a selection of stats and you need to raise them by finding out where the girls are and interacting with them, you have three sex scenes with each girl and that is what you are working towards. There is a lot of clicking around trying to figure out where you go next so I do think the game could do with some kind of hint system to help keep you on track.

Pixel College

I think that the pixel art style that Tokyo College Girls: The Nerd & Queen Bees has is super charming, the main character has no facial features, but I think that is because we are supposed to see ourselves as the MC. The girls are cute and the whole game reminds me of the earlier Sims games, perhaps even The Sims games for the handheld systems actually. Each girl has three sex scenes, you start with a hand job, oral, and then full sex is what you are working towards, once you have seen all the sex scenes with the girls that is basically the end of the game. I do think that they could have done a bit more variety with the sex scenes, to be honest with you, but they do feel like a reward for playing through the game.

Pros:

• There are three girls to try and get with
• I thought the MC’s motivations were fun
• The pixel art in the game has a lot of charm
• I do think that there is a great game buried somewhere in here

Cons:

• The writing is very serious and needs to be more natural and fun
• The game could do with some kind of hint system to keep you on track
