A Shot in the Dark

To put it simply, A Shot in the Dark is one of the greatest lewd visual novels that I have ever played. This game has it all, a fantastic story, a well written cast of characters, and some of the most amazing visuals you will have the pleasure to feast your eyes on in a lewd game. I truly could not be any more impressed by what I experienced here. I played this game a little while back, but it is getting a full and official release on steam and I like this game so much, that I am going to put my wallet where my mouth is and pay full price for it!

A Strange First Semester

I always get a kick out of a lewd visual novel that has a college setting and that is what we have here with A Shot in the Dark. We play as a guy who is just about to start his first semester at college and he has quite high hopes for his college life. However, what I love about this game is that it is a mystery thriller type story. A college hottie has gone missing and you somehow end up mixed up in it and try to find out where she is. It is very well done, my friend said he knew who it was right away, but I sure as hell did not.

A Perfect 10

One of the most impressive things about A Shot in the Dark is that there are 10 different girls that you can get to know better. Each of these girls has her own personality, own motivations, and own connections to what is going down. It is an incredibly story driven game so that does mean you have to pay attention to all of the dialogue. This is not the kind of lewd visual novel you fire up just to have XXX fun, that is here, but it is the story that is going to hook you and keep you invested. It felt like a real mystery thriller that could be a TV show or a book… perhaps without all the boobs, butts, and sex of course.

Keeping It Simple & Fun!

I am so glad that the developer of A Shot in the Dark realized that the story they were telling was interesting. There is no unnecessary grinding or exploration here that some lewd visual novels feel the need to tack on just for the sake of adding in some “gameplay”. What we have here is all about the story, you get to make some very important choices as you play and the game does a fantastic job of keeping track of this meaning that if you do decide to replay it, you can easily try and go down a new path. There are many different outcomes and if they are good or bad all depends on how you look at them.

A Step Above The Rest

To say that I was blown away by how good A Shot in the Dark looked is the understatement of the year! The character renders in this game are fantastic, with so many love interests and other characters, I am shocked that they were able to make them all look so different. The game has a very realistic look to it, do not get me wrong, the women are all gorgeous with perfect bodies, but they are not overexaggerated like some other lewd visual novels have a tendency to do. The XXX content here is in the running for the best that I have ever seen! The sex scenes range from being wholesome and erotic to hardcore steam action! The level of animation and the realistic look to it all is sure to get you all hot and bothered.

• Voice acting would really make this the greatest lewd visual novel ever
• I do not have any complaints about the game at all!

A Shot in the Dark is a visual novel with multiple choices for adults. A mysterious series of kidnappings at the most ordinary college puts the whole community on its ears, the main character unwillingly finds himself in the epicenter of events. Will an ordinary student manage to solve the mystery and not remain guilty?
