Bare Witness

Bare Witness is a visual interactive novel by AlterWorlds where the player becomes a guy named Jackson who goes to an art college and meets some lovely ladies.

Trip to Plattsburgh

The story begins with the protagonist riding the train. The guy behaves very freely, if not impudently: he talks loudly on the phone, has his feet on the seat next to him, and defiantly follows every skirt with his eyes. The main character in Bare Witness is Jackson. He was chatting with his father. The dialogue is not a pleasant one, the men yelling at each other. From this conversation, it becomes clear that Jackson is going to college associated with art. After school, he should choose a place to further his studies or go to work in a factory.

Maura's Girl

Maura meets him at the train station. This is a girl who is already a student at the institution. She knows Plattsburgh (the city in which the game unfolds) like the back of her hand. The girl offers to drive around town and show her the area. Maura is one of those women Jackson can build a romantic relationship with. She plays Animal Crossing and Civilization. The main character loves games, too, so you can build a conversation around that topic.

Athena and Heidi, two female students, live together and are looking for a roommate. Maura helps Jackson connect with them. The player will be able to interact with these girls at home if the girls are there and not in classes.

Study and Dating

Starting on Monday, classes will begin. The player will go to school, attend classes, and interact with professors and classmates. From among these people you can make acquaintances that will affect the plot.

A list of girls with whom you can have an affair:

• Zenda
• Sadie
• Alexandra

And other women - the list doesn't end there.

One of the key elements of Bare Witness gameplay is choice. Choices condition the story:

• Ask for a room or say good night
• Stay for the last couple or skip out to go home and finally get a good night's sleep
• Reply to an old friend's text message or call a girl you just met yesterday
• To sass your father or bend to his will and forgive the humiliation

One of the things that is great about this visual novel is that the player uses a cell phone. This gadget stores the correspondence and contacts of the women with whom Jackson communicates. They often even send him piquant pictures of themselves. The phone also contains a map showing major sites: art college, housing, stores, and other important places.

Adult Content

The authors did not forget to saturate the story with XXX content. The love scenes, by the way, are animated! They will open after a sequence of correct answers from the player, so think carefully before making your choice.

If you are into lewd visual novels that have a more wholesome side to them, Bare Witness is a game that you simply must play. With many different endings and a whole host of interesting ladies to get to know better. This is a fantastic, engaging, and gorgeous looking lewd visual novel that you will not be able to stop playing. Many lewd visual novels that have multiple endings will not get me back for a second playthrough, but this one was different. I liked so many of the characters, I needed to see how differently the story could have ended.

A New Life Up State

The story of Bare Witness is very strong and the main aspect of the story for or main character is that his life is undergoing a massive change. He is in the witness protection program and this sees him heading upstate to a fancy art school where he is going to try and rebuild his life. It is quite a positive thing for him in all honesty, but when he gets there, he realizes that running away from your past is easier said than done. This is the main plot that is running through the game, but there is more to it than just that.

A Tale Of Six Different Ladies

While the witness protection thing and the person from your past is the running storyline in Bare Witness. What this game is really about is the six different ladies that you get to know as the game progresses. Each of these ladies is great in her own way and I really liked how different they were. The writer truly did a fantastic job here as you do get to feel like you are getting to understand each one a little bit better. They are so different that most people who play the game will probably have that special one that they like better than the rest. This is one game where I would love to see how all the outcomes are.

Straight Talking

What we have here with Bare Witness in terms of the gameplay is a straight up lewd visual novel. That means there is no exploration, no grinding of stats, no quests that make no sense and force you to have to use a guide! This is just all 100 percent about the choices you make in the story. They have done a great job at making the paths quite different. For example, you may decide that you love one girl and really want to see that relationship blossom. However, you may also decide that you want a poly relationship with the ladies who are into that! The endings are so different that I do want to see as many of them as I can and as there are 11, that means there is a lot of replayability here.

The Wholesome Side Of Lewd

While there are many great hardcore sex scenes in Bare Witness, some of which have you banging more than one girl at once! The developer wanted to make this a bit more of a wholesome kind of lewd game with more kissing, hand holding, and hugging, more intimate stuff if you get what I mean. No word of a lie, when I read that, I rolled my eyes, but to my surprise, it worked. The relationships depending on the choices you make can feel much more real and wholesome. Granted the characters are all super hot and seeing them naked is awesome, yet I do think the fact this has more “relationship” stuff in it than just straight-up banging does make this rather special.

Pros:

• There are six very attractive ladies in this game
• I liked how I felt I was getting to know each girl
• The visuals are fantastic and the sex scenes are animated
• There is honestly a more wholesome vibe about this game than you usually get

Cons:

• The poly scene is not going to be for everyone
• This is a straight up lewd visual novel so there is no actual “gameplay”
