Sorceress' Tale

I have to say that Sorceress' Tale is one of those games that I wanted so bad to be great. This has been in development for a very long time and I often come back to see how things are progressing. I am not 100 percent sure of this, but I think what we have with the game now is pretty much what it is going to be. I applaud the dude behind it for taking on the massive task of making a 3D action lewd game and there are certainly some neat ideas in this game, but I think it needed more people working on it.

A Magical Bounty Hunter

For me, the best thing about Sorceress' Tale, is the protagonist. She is a powerful sorceress called Meridiana and she is pretty damn badass! I love her design as I am sure most people will as soon as they look at her. However, it is the way that she is using her powers to take out various monsters and other baddies that I find interesting. She is basically a bounty hunter who is cleaning this place up, one contract at a time!

Welcome To XXX Fantasy Land

The visuals of Sorceress' Tale are pretty impressive. I have no doubt that creating a fully 3D world like this must have been a major task and I think that it does look great. I love games with a fantasy setting and there are plenty of hulking beasts and best of all, hot babes in this game. By far, Meridiana is one of the best-looking female protagonists I have had the pleasure to play as in a game. You get to see her in all her glory fairly often and even when she is clothed, her clothing leaves very little to the imagination!

Slay Or Charm?

One of the game mechanics in Sorceress' Tale that I feel is interesting and could have been done with being fleshed out more is the ability to charm enemies. When you fight an enemy you can just kill them or you can charm them which basically makes them fall for you. However, nothing seems to come of this! They just follow you around, but no matter what I charmed, nothing would help me in battles or with puzzles so it felt kind of pointless.

Many Ideas Do Not Always Equal Greatness!

I will say that Sorceress' Tale has some great ideas and I get the impression the developer wanted to make a deep and satisfying experience. The game offers you combat, exploration, platforming, puzzles, and magic. The problem is none of these elements are done all that well. I do not think they are terrible, but some of them, platforming for example can lead to severe frustration. The game feels like it needs more people on the team as there are so many ideas, it must be hard to make them all a reality.

Pros:

• Meridiana is a fantastic main character… and she is hot!
• I liked how they tried to implement many different gameplay styles
• The idea of charming enemies to follow you is interesting
• The lewd content here is done very well

Cons:

• The platforming is severely frustrating!
• The whole game is very janky and feels unfinished in pretty much every regard
