Wow is all I have to say when talking about Bikini Karate Babes. This is an older game that was released all the way back in 2002 and it was made to capitalize on the popularity of fighting games. With a title like this, you know that you are in for a very sexy kind of fighting game, but is it actually any good? Well, no it is not! However, this is one of those games that are kind of so bad it is good and it is worth playing just to get a chuckle out of!

The Way Of The Warrior

The premise of Bikini Karate Babes is that we have these super hot babes that are all based on various goddesses from different mythologies. You actually have a decent selection of characters and while you start out with only eight, there are many more that you can unlock along the way. What are these babes fighting for? Hey, I wish I could actually tell you, but like in games such as Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, each character has their own “motivations” for fighting.

So Close To The Real Thing!

Like Mortal Kombat, Bikini Karate Babes uses digitized characters for its graphics and they actually look incredible. I think that the animation is solid and seeing sexy babes in very little clothing is never going to be something that I complain about. There is no XXX action here, but it will still get you hot under the color. I think that the digitized graphics here are better than many people give the game credit for.

Three Buttons To Win With

Where Bikini Karate Babes falls apart is the gameplay, it is horrendous, seriously, this is one of the worst fighting games I have played! You only have punch, kick, and special and the special button just seems to do whatever the heck it wants and will do something different depending on who you are fighting. You never actually feel like you have control over your fighter and it is just a mess. However, if you are playing with a friend, the terrible controls can make this quite a hilarious experience

More Effort Than You Would Think

Perhaps the most surprising aspect of Bikini Karate Babes is that it is stacked with game modes! You have a standard arcade mode here where you pick a fighter and then beat the rest of the girls. There is the two player mode, team fight, marathon, practice, challenge, and more.

Look, we all know what this is! Bikini Karate Babes is not a good game at all and at the time it was released IGN gave it 1.5/10! I am not quite sure it is that bad… ok, maybe it is. However, the digitized graphics are great and if you are playing this with a buddy, you can have a lot of laughs at how horrible it is. As I said, I feel that this is one of those games that really is so bad it actually ends up being good. The question is how do I assign a score to something like this?
