Bright Past

Bright Past is a lewd sandbox style of game where you play as a female protagonist. This is a nice touch as usually, you are stuck playing as some meathead dude just trying to get laid every five minutes. I thought that this is a game that did offer a great deal of promise so I was very excited to get the chance to spend a little time playing it.

Alex, She Can Sure “Mack”

An Alex Mack reference is a great way to start this Bright Past review if you ask me. If you get that obscure reference, a big high five from me. Anyway, our main character is a hot girl called Alex and just like any girl, Alex is trying to live her best life. That is the basics of the story as there is no one single plotline in the game that I would say is any more important than any other.

There are plenty of characters for Alex to interact with and engage in storylines with. However, there is no big over-arcing story. At first, I thought this was a very interesting style for a lewd game to take. However, I do wish there was a clear-cut goal or endpoint for the story so it had a bit more direction if you know what I am saying.

Money Makes The World Go Around

One of the things that is pretty interesting about Bright Past is the way Alex is portrayed. You can play her in a few different ways. She can be straight, bi, or even a lesbian, you can try and hook up with whoever you want. Also, Alex getting it on with people did not seem like the main focus in the game.

Alex needs to make money and to do this she needs to take work. Jobs are plentiful such as being a waitress, working in a casino, or making money on her back if you know what I am saying! It is up to you how you make money. You need money for pretty much everything in this game and I felt that I was spending most of my time trying to make a buck than hooking up. Oh, there is also this strange music aspect where you can learn songs which is super weird, but also kind of interesting too.

This Sure Looks Familiar….

The visuals of Bright Past at first are great. I love the way that Alex looks and the realistic nature of this town has a fair amount of detail and at first impressions, you will probably think that the game looks great. The problem is the female characters do look good, but you start to notice apart from facial details, most of the ladies in this town look exactly the same, this is especially true when they are naked.

There is also no animation in the game which is disappointing. There is not a ton of XXX content here so the little that is I do wish was animated. This is not a bad-looking game, I just wish there was more variety to the ladies.

Pros:

• I liked Alex as a character
• Alex is pretty hot!
• The game lets you play it any way you want
• There is quite a lot of stuff to do in this game

Cons:

• It can be hard to know what you need to do
• The girls all look kind of the same when they are naked
