Deiland: Pocket Planet

Adventure games based around the concept of farming have become absolutely massive in the last decade. With the rise of these titles, then, many pretenders come along to try and take aim at the throne. However, while not many manage to hit the market, an upcoming release by Chibig, Deiland: Pocket Planet, looks to have plenty of charm and charisma in there.

The game itself is not really too detailed, with a basic process for existing within the universe of Deiland. Here, you live on a tiny planet and have to take care of it with various typical crafting and survival elements. You will build, farm, craft, and fight your way to thriving survival on this tiny little piece of planet.

Will it manage to live up to the other big names in the farming sim world, though? We will have to wait to find out. For now, though, there is enough bones in Deiland: Pocket Planet to make it worth considering for a release day purchase.

Simple, stylish adventuring on a mini planet

If you take a look at Deiland: Pocket Planet, you might immediately notice some visual similarities to the likes of Dragon Quest Builder. However, there is also a strong vibe of games like Stardew Valley here, with the need to build, thrive, explore, and survive. You also look like you will have the chance to meet other people and form relationships, which will again be a part of the Stardew influence shining through.

There is much to love about this particular title, not least the fact it has a very bright and colourful art design. If you are looking for a game that could be pretty chill as you slowly but surely build up your own little world, this looks like one to add to your wishlist.

There is plenty of enjoyment to be found in this rather tranquil experience, too. It is easy to see why so many gamers have a thing for an experience like this; it can be the perfect way to just escape from reality. With so little known about the longevity or the gameplay loop, though, it is hard to say with any definition as to how long Deiland: Pocket Planet will keep people interested.

A new addition to the farming sim community

There is much to like about the atmosphere and the premise of Deiland: Pocket Planet. It feels like a game that could be easily enjoyed by players who just want something relaxing. However, the presence of combat and relationships might also show a more in-depth exploration and social system waiting to be explored.
